NoGiGoGoGaGa - Caesar ,Ralph ,Terrell, Diaz, Sheilds, Castillo, Melendez...their all real big on loyalty, it's well known. MMA tends to be very incestuous. The tradition of loyalty may be antiquated for most people.

You are misusing the word incestuous. In fact is the opposite of incest, it's crossbreeding, it's introducing variety into the bloodline.

Seems to me he is differentiating between Cesar's camp and the rest of MMA, and calling the rest of MMA "incestuous."

El Rafa -

Fascinating thread. Both sides have legit points to be made.

Maybe I'm naive but if "the old way" was still in place we would not have our favourite sport, because loyalty to your team would not have allowed to learn a new discipline as that would mean you going somewhere else. One of my favourite elements of MMA is how Fighter A has a great fight with Fighter B and then decides to train with them in preparation for their (whichever fighter) next fight.

You can't do this at ATT either they'll kick you out if they find out even if you're just casually training at other gyms in Florida! Let alone helping somebody that just fought your teammate get ready for a fight lol. Lol ook at what happened to Rhadi Ferguson... Phone Post

Nick and Carlos will likely never fight again, so I don't see it as that big of a deal.

Why in the hell wouldn't they fight Condit just lost, and their fight was scored 48-47 across the board??? Phone Post

Cung knocked my ace out - Fuck Caesar.

Caio is better off as far away from that 3 ring circus as he can get. Phone Post
3 ring circus where? 1 tilte holder, another 1 fighting for a title, a former title holder and 1 that is a perennial title contender...

Even Jackson's have their own drama.., Phone Post

title holder? Wait, are you counting titles in StocktonForce?

That's cute.
Okay Dana is counting Ronda's, and Cormier will most likely walk right into a title fight Stockonforce cute try again... Phone Post

Ronda doesn't have a counterpart in the UFC?

And so what if Cormier gets handed an immediate title shot? That doesn't make him the world champion RIGHT NOW.
You still didn't defend your argument you tried to discredit the strikeforce titles, but Cormier will walk right into a HWT title shot as long as Cain does not hold it, and Nick was walking right into one until he fucked it up... If we are talking Bellator/Ben Askren then you'd have an argument... Phone Post

Make money and potentially take money outta a teammates pocket nah it not cool... Phone Post

HE DIDN'T TRAIN CONDIT AGAINST A CAESAR FIGHTER! NO CAESAR FIGHTER WAS INVOLVED HERE!
I know this jack ass i know wtf Condit trains at if he trains Condit to beat GSP he is taking money out if his pocket down the road GSP has said he is more than willing to beat Nick's ass down the road, and now that he lost we are looking at a rematch on the horizon after the suspension is up... I prefer the Renzo approach of being willing to give and receive knowledge from everyone and not get caught up in drama.

WTF? Have a look at anything Renzo said about BJ in the last 10 years. He even managed to somehow get into the drama of the last Sonnen/Silva fight even though he has nothing to do with either fighter.

lilBrock, ya, i don't have any idea about what happened with Caio Terra and Cesar. I don't know Terra. Their agreement should be between Cesar and Caio Terra. I was just talking about loyalty in general terms.

Disciple, said he likes Renzo's approach. I will have to say, Renzo has a great attitude about the whole thing and if one runs a school with Renzo's mentality, you eliminate so much drama! Drama sucks. Especially in a martial arts gym atmosphere. That's the one place your suppose to be able to go and "get away" for awhile and release the stress of life.

Cesar is the black sheep of the Gracie family. He always seemed like a joke, this proves it for me.

He carries a huge chip on his shoulder to compensate for the fact that he's not a real Gracie Phone Post

I don't know if this has already been mentioned in this thread or if its even relevent, but do you guys think it's because Caio is working with Carlos for a title fight (the guy nick just fought and will probably fight again) when Nate also has a title fight coming up?

I can understand how you'd feel betrayed when your "teammate" does something like that.

if the timing would have interfered with nates camp then yeah, I can see where he would be upset.
