UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem and his former management at Golden Glory have settled their respective lawsuits in California and Nevada.

The news was announced by Golden Glory’s lead counsel, Rick Lindblom, on Tuesday.

“Everyone worked extremely hard to resolve these matters so that KOI, Golden Glory and [Golden Glory founder] Bas Boon can walk away and move forward with the Glory World Series Promotion in Europe, Japan and the USA, and Alistair Overeem can concentrate on his fighting career with his new manager Glenn Robinson at Authentic Sports Management and his new team, the Blackzilians,” Lindblom stated in the release.

One party got paid (Golden Glory) - the other had to pay (AO).

At some level, don't we ALL win? You know, in a deep, philosophical sort of way? Phone Post

Was always going to be settled. It wasn't THAT much money they were fighting over. For the Brock fight he made maybe $1-2M.

So Golden glory's cut could have been $300-600k. UFC type lawyers could get to $100-150k in legal bills pretty fast so both sides' money gets eaten up quick. There was always a big incentive to settle for both sides.

P.S. the American legal system licks donkey balls.

just found it a bit weird that theyd refer to imperial as "blackzilians" in an official press release, but what the heck.
