Not sure if he checks this place out but just wanted to say I had the opportunity to meet Lorenzo Fertitta at a football game yesterday. I just happened to notice him at the front gate, I usually hate bothering anyone like this on their personal time but I had to make an exception as I couldn't resist taking about 30 seconds of his time to say hello and tell him I was a fan since UFC 2 and thank him for keeping this great sport alive.

He was a cool guy, didn't seem to mind me stopping and saying hello, he thanked me for being a long time fan and then I left him alone and let him go on his way. Man, if I could have stood and talked to him for a few more minutes or heck, even a few hours it would have been a marvelous thing! If I ever get to go to a live UFC I gotta make it a point to see if I can chat with him longer, what a cool dude!

So Lorenzo, if you check this place out, thanks, it was very cool to say hello to you. Hope you enjoyed the game!

Sorry UG, no pics.

You are not going to meet him at a UFC unless you have floor seats.

SuperCalo is NOT Lorenzo Fertitta.

about a year ago SuperCalo slipped up and revealed actual personal information that proves he isn't or could be a Fertitta.  I forgot which thread it was, probably something UFC Switzerland related, but in that thread, it was very subtle, but I remember it vividly....

SuperCalo is a 14(maybe 15 by now)yr old albino swiss.

Basically, ever since he revealed that, everytime I see his post, I read it with a very young image of Brother Ali in my head with a voice over of someone with a Swiss accent. Makes his post even more enjoyable.

Brother Ali aka Supercalo's Poppy=

I really feel that I'd be close to Godfather status if I grew up like the Fertittas did. That's no slight on them either, I have them in the ranks of Dons.

Years ago I was hired to work at a bar in a new indian casino that was being built.  It was indian owned but Station Casinos (owned by Fertittas) were in charge of running it.  2 days before the opening we were setting up the bar and my boss comes over and says that the Fertittas are coming in to check it out. Boss says just stand there, smile, and don't speak to them unless spoken too.  I was like damn, ok.

So, the Fertittas finally show up and they come with an entourage.  They looked like straight mafia, I'll put a hit on your ass if you looks at me wrong kinda guys.  They stroll through the bar checking it and us out, but said nothing.

Later that night we had a trial opening with employees able to come inside the casino to drink and gamble with fake chips.  At the end of the night my boss comes into the bar and says that the Fertittas want to take us out for drinks for doing a good job.  I was like sweet.  So we meet up at this trendy bar they told us to go to and once inside I find out that  they closed it off to the public.  On top of that, I was expecting a whole bunch of employees there but it turns out they only invited their entourage and the workers in the main bar/club ( out of 7 bars). To top it off it was open bar, we could order anything we wanted.  I didn't get to speak much with them, besides shaking hands, but it was still a fun experience.  Honestly it kinda seemed like many of the entourage were on a little more than just alcohol, but I guess that's probably expected.

Cool story!
