And we wonder why there are tons of injuries? Would it be impossible to demand the mats be cleared when a pro is on it? There was a guy there acting as a buffer though...

Good call, after the Cruz/Rousey incident who hasn't figured this out?

The two guys behind them are just ignorant

The worst part is that there literally is 30 feet of mat behind the other two. NO reason to crowd Phil and Alex

LOL guys, Phil and Gus are banging there heads on the punching bags and grappling against them and your worried about two other guys casually rolling beside them? They are fighters, not barbies, I'm sure if they got rolled on or accidently pushed they'd be fine.

Have you ever seen videos of the Blackzillians training? They are all pro fighters and they all train like 4 or 5 feet away from another pair of guys..

Has it actually been common for UFC fighters to be hurt because of overcrowding on their gym's mats, though?

Fine, it's still not necessary with all the injuries happening it's just a precaution that can help but what do I know

Tons of injuries?!??!??!?!

WTF?! Do you guys take up Tai Chi or something? That was hardly intense at all.

It doesn't have to be intense to roll an Ankle.

Once upon a time fighters would fight with all sorts of injuries, now anything might be a reason to pull out.

Um...while that was a nice good positional isolation session, and Gustaffson seems very game, that was no way Phil being "outwrestled" by anyone. Phone Post

THat's how Rashad fucked his knee up, lost his title shot at Shogun to Jones.  An accident caused by a situation similar to this completely change the landscape of the LHW division in the UFC.

unfortunatly several high profile fighters have had horrific injuries from people rolling into them, or rolling into people. so, fuck yourself.

again, why does it have to be hard rolling to back up over someone's leg and twist you'r knee or ankle?

WTF is the issue? They're not going very hard, they're just drilling close to people who also aren't going very hard. The only time there is a burst of movement, they move in a direction away from the next closest people.

And then at the end of the video, the coach or whoever obviously waves them to go to a different spot.

Yeah...these guys are professional fighters. They need to train somewhat realistically, and there is always a chance of injury. This is within those limits. They need to train like this.

Lol at the reading fail.

It's not the intensity of the training that is the issue, it's giving pros space after Rashad, Cruz and no doubt a few others have innocently had serious injuries no matter the intensity.

But whatever, if nothing happens I'm sure that proves it's fine...
