BigWilliam,

If i read Destroyer first, then read Brit - i may feel the same way you do. But I read Brit first before Destroyer - maybe that made me appreciate Destroyer more... perhaps Kirkman really thought about this storyline and time to craft the story... he nailed the human side of the story  which is what probably what resonated with me. I'm feeling old so perhaps that's the reason I like Destroyer. The art and gore helped cement my liking this mini too lol

I definitely agree that Destroyer is excellent. The first issue it took about halfway for me to get into it, and then I loved it.

I saw that and my first thought was Punisher meets the Super Skrull.

Nothing says ass kicker like tight pants with vertical stripes and flared pirate boots.

I read Brit this morning, too, which was awesome but I think this one was better.

It does leave the nerd in me wondering about Destroyer and Turret's powers and where they came from, but really that's totally incidental to the real story of a one-of-a-kind preparing for a world without him.

After reading the two Patriot threads, I still think this is my favorite of the three "aging indestuctible hero" (Destroyer, Brit, Patriot) stories.

Back in da day, IMO Lee Marvin would've been spot on. Racking brains for someone working now.
