This is Adam Sachnoff, tpjj brown belt from 10th Planet San Francisco.

He's the 2012 Gracie Nationals and Gracie Worlds Champion subbing everyone he faced.

He just won the ADCC trials also subbing everyone he faced. He walks around at about 230 and has an INSANE rubber guard, check it....

That's a scary dude. That highlight video makes me want to learn the rubber guard, but I don't think they teach it where I train now (only alternative I have).

Yep, I will definitely have to consider doing that.

I see "Mastering The Rubber Guard 3 DVD Set" available for sale on Eddie's site, this means it's a 3x DVD set, not the third of a DVD series, right?

I'm not even sure if I'll be able to get someone to work on the rubber guard/10th planet techniques with me as I've only been doing regular jiu jitsu since Monday last week, but we'll see.

nobones - Eddie I have a question. Where does the flexibility for the rubber guard need to be? My guess is more in the hip than the knee? Also, have you heard any feedback about doing too much rubber guard loosening knee ligaments in some people? The knee is a hinged joint so pushing it in the lateral direction is bound to loosen up the ligaments in your knee right? Phone Post
Lotus stretch and hamstring stretch are the Most important. As long As u cross face properly when going for rubberguard stuff it will keep alot of pressure off your knee and give you proper leverage. Phone Post
