Guessing nogi cuz the forum.

Closed guard, control the head/legs

Butterfly and open, wrist control is a huge factor.

I wouldn't worry so much about them standing up per say, learn to attack AS they stand up or when they are up dlr/rdlr Phone Post

Oops hit submit too early. Playing rdlr and dlr on top of learning to single leg, knee tap and butterfly sweep/kickout when they are standing are awesome.

Plus of you play said games, and z guard, should be no biggy Phone Post

I think you're asking how to prevent someone from standing back up when you are on top in their guard. In general, keep their feet off your hips and other parts of your body where they can push off to start to stand. If necessary, stand up and control either one or both of their ankles with both of your hands, lifting his feet off the ground to keep his back down. Phone Post
