Fans of the sport all the way up to UFC President believe Nelson has one of, if not the best chin in all of mixed martial arts (MMA). It appears Mitrione agrees, as he told Inside MMA on AXS TV that he doesn't think Nelson can be knocked out.

Does that mean "Meathead" is going to try and outpoint "Big Country" en route to a five-round decision? Maybe, or maybe not. More than anything it means he recognizes what Nelson brings to the table and is not going to try and "reinvent the wheel" on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

"I think that I can out-athlete Roy, I think everybody knows there's no point to reinvent the wheel against Roy, he's not going to get knocked out, we know he has a phenomenal chin, he's stubborn as all hell, so he's too stubborn to get knocked out and he's too stubborn to stop walking forwards. So it really comes down to being an athlete, being intelligent about where I'm going to have my strikes and what strikes I choose to use."

I have a feeling this is gonna look like Hunt vs. Rothwell eventually.

Putting heavyweights not fighting for a title in a five round fight is just dumb. Has the UFC not figured this out by now? Phone Post

Couldn't see Kongo vs Mitrione going the distance either. Heavyweights are an enigma

I always think it's so ironic that the weakest-chinned HW in MMA (Arlovski) is the only one to knock out Roy.  And yes, I know that isn't real irony but whatever.

At what point does Roy's chin give out? He literally just allows the other fighter to punch him in the face, and these are heavy hitting guys, at some point it has to give way right?

Roy's going to take him down by the 2nd, and from there, we'll see a finish ala CroCop/Kimbo fights. Phone Post

Personally I thought JDS was going to do it, now I find myself asking that same question time and time again.

Everyone out athletes Roy. Only the top ten out fight him. Don't think meathead has the experience to be up there just yet Phone Post

Mitrione is going to dance and run for the first few rounds trying to tire Roy out. That's what he means by out athlete. I still have Roy in this one. Phone Post

Meathead attacks the legs. Roy takes too much damage by the third. Meathead via tko by leg strike.

As a meathead fan, yuh. But that analogy reveals no partially. A stock,v-8 1999 ford F-150 lariat could ram into, back up and do that agin 5 more times before the radiator explodes. One will be dead by then.

Yeah I don't know shit about trucks, I figured a deer can total a car, so a Rhino could total a truck.

Mitrione confused vertical leap tests and 40 times with fighting UFC again.

Hell even the NHL runs a combine these days. Even then the results have almost zero bearing on who the leagues top goons and enforcers will be.

Being athletic is an asset without question . It does little good when u eat a big uppercut tho. Nice job Roy Phone Post
