The numbers that get reported to the athletic commissions are only the contracted salaries. These figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Further, they do not contain money paid by sponsors, Fight Night bonuses from the UFC, discretionary bonuses, etc.

In addition to the numbers above. UFC president Dana White paid Melvin Guillard his show purse after Jamie Varner withdrew from their bout the day of the fight due to illness.

DFW must hate Roy.

these payrolls are shit!!! what a fukin joke...

they are going to have to start paying me to watch the fight for sitting though all those goddamn commercials..

fkn ridiculous and they can good and well pay much more than that.. you make it all the way to the UFC fighting garbage shows to make $6k to 8K... avg that out over months/hours of training and youre making less than minimum wage.....

I would love to see whether there are other monies that he is receiving from the UFC that makes him not complain to high heaven about his reported fight purses. They feel he has enough value to put in front of their TV show, to headline a card, and to serve as a gatekeeper to title shots ... yet they will only guarantee $22k per show?! Crazy.

I don't know why the UFC still refuses to make public the total compensation to every athlete, like other sports do. Articles like this one, after every event, continue to make it look like these young men are training, fighting and risking their well-being for pennies.

I think it's kind of silly that the TUF finale guys get the basic UFC 8k to show, 8K to win.

They are 2 of the stars of a 12 episode tv show ran by the UFC, and then the loser goes on to get 8k.

They were also the co main event.

I wonder how much revenue they brought in vs. total costs.
That seems pretty cheap for fighter pay.

"So, you wanna be a fighter?"

"Uhh, no, thanks Dana. I have a good gig at Hardees, and I get Saturdays off.
I just can't take the pay cut."

Dont forget they all made TRIPLE their show money via secret, completely discretionary bonuses.

Its done this way to PROTECT the fighters and make their friends and fam think theyre too broke to ask for money!
