Say that they're all in their primes today. Who, if any of them, is the heavyweight champion among today's competition (JDS, Velasquez, Carwin, Struve, Nelson, Cormier and Werdum)? Is JDS still the champion? Humor me.

Who wins the entire tournament?

Does any 'old schooler' win his match?

Does the winner, assuming it's an 'old schooler', actually beat JDS too?

Wow, that's a great fantasy tourney.  I am going to say Fedor.  Final answer!

JDS and Cain. It's a different ballgame now.

I didn't see a slowdown with Fedor against Rizzo.

Dream Scenario would be a GP with PRIME Couture, Nogueira, Fedor and CroCop with JDS, Cormier, Velazquez and Overeem.

Depending on match-ups, I think it would come down to Fedor vs Cormier. Pride rules, Fedor. In a cage, Cormier destroys him. Phone Post

look fedor starting MMA today may well have fought LHW to begin with (CC too).

There is no way to prove anybody gets a clinch VS JDS with his footwork and technical boxing. They really are kind of meat without it (the clinch).

None has Aldo like leg kicks they can use to be 'first to the strike' VS JDS. A lot of his game we've never even seen because he's so good on his feet.

As far as number 2, that would depend on the order of the match up's none is that important either. I will say though that Fedor is a complete nightmare for Cain though.

All about matchups. Fedor is still the best of the group but wouldn't beat a guy like Cain imi Phone Post

I think Cain is the nightmare matchup for Fedor. Other guys like Randleman and Coleman were able to take Fedor down, but I think Cain wouldn't get submitted and he also wouldn't gas. Phone Post

I think Fedor could beat everyone but Cain (stylistically I think a well rounded wrestler is what would give Fedor the most trouble, though Cain's striking defense is lacking and Fedor could find holes), JDS would be an awesome match up though and nearly impossible to call. I just remember Fedor out striking Cro Cop and I assume he would be able to do the same to JDS.

Nogueira IMO beats everyone but Fedor (of course) and JDS, JDS is a nightmare match up for him. Phone Post
