Oscar was live tweeting suring Rory's fight with BJ Penn. Its great to hear a legend give advice to a young one like Rory. Please dont come in here with the "its two different sports" shit. Technique is technique.

Love hearing someone like OScar talk about any type of fighting.Rory was obviously still a bit nervous of BJs power to fully go for the finish

Love this stuff. It's a huge compliment to be critiqued by legends like Oscar.

Oscar was definitely one of the best. Solid boxing advice. Personally, I always have a hard time going to the body with straights, whether it be a jab or a cross. Myself, being a lot taller than my opponents...I'm 6 ft 3 155lbs, and do Muay Thai. I always feel so open getting that low. I wonder if Rory experiences that as well? He towered over BJ. Maybe it's slightly different in boxing and mma. Anyone have any advice on that? Phone Post

Say what you want about Oscar, he worked really hard to close the show against Quartey in the final round. Then after that magnificent job of closing the show and making a habit to finish the last minute of ever round strong, he ran from Tito and it cost him big.

Oscar didn't even know who Rory's opponent was.

He has no idea how tough BJ Penn is, and if he wants to talk about crippling body shots, did he not see Rory hunch Penn over with a kick and punch to the body against the fence?

I thought oscar won that fight, granted I only saw it once live and that was the last boxing match I watched live.

oscar said Rory should of finished him. Which imo he could of done when he had BJ in that position.

Kinda like that guy that Hopkins finished with a body shot. What was his name again?

The length of your arms should help counter the difficulty punching inside. I know a tall dude that body punches me with the same length I have on straights. Phone Post

Head down, chin tucked behind your shoulder as you are punching... and don't stick around. In and out.

it looked to me like Rory let BJ off the hook to beat him up more after that body shot
he was definitely talking shit to him afterwards.
