Not to put a bounty on the head of my bro-yrannosaurus rex but I figure this might offer some more encouragement so folks to get in the gym again (especially with the new year right around the corner)

Maybe this is too steep of a hill to climb and Ill gladly consider another 'contest' or feat of strength if you guys have some recommendations. I'll post pic verification that I have both books in a bit I'm off to an open mat for a couple hours.

See I was worried about that shit LOL. "The only person that can beat Leigh...is Leigh". Thus why I mentioned that if there is a different metric we can make a contest for I'm open to suggestion. I'd like these to go to someone who needs them but is willing to show some effort.

So maybe 1/2 of what leigh did? 12 with 25lbs?

Shoot me some ideas folks! Maybe I'll post this on the OG and just get a rottie thread going.

Some local guys at the gym have their own unrelated competition to do chins with 25kg. One guy did 2 and says his goal is 20. I offered him £50 if he ever does it Phone Post

I did 3 sets of 5 with 25kg this morning. These were chins though, not pulls. I don't know how much difference that makes.

Different muscles involved ^ ....but I think the pulls with the ruck are easier BC the weight is on the shoulders....if youre using that hip belt with the weight dangling those are much tougher Phone Post

Well ruck is harder to me cause I'm used to the weight belt+chain more. soooo I think it's really about what you train the most. Like everything else lol.

As much as I like chins and pullups I can't really do them anymore. I have a bicep injury that really acts up when doing pullups. I can't afford to make it any worse as I am competing in PL in Feb.

My best ever with 45 attached is 18 or 19, I remember trying to get to 20 but coming up short. 10 with 90 attached and sets of 6 with 135. I was a lot lighter then though, about 205. I am 230 right now.

Give the books to Leigh.

You could probably start training 1 arm chins at this point. I think we're around the same size and that is roughly when I started.

Before my neck injury (pinched nerves) I could do 11 full reps with 70 pounds. After the injury I struggle to do 3 with no weight.
