Buy a neck harness and loop a dumbbell through the chain and do neck raises with it. Phone Post

I have a lot of neck training stuff on my blog:

For the most comprehensive neck traning protocol, check out the work by Mark Asanovich and Ralph Cornwall:

I remember Health for Life came out with a book, "Total Neck and Traps" which seemed good.

You can probably get a copy on Amazon, since I think that the company went out of business.

I do a lot of bridging on my head (front, back, and going 360 degrees around in a bridge); I know it's controversial, but it makes my neck feel great. I do some bridging for a couple minutes, then do a lot of monkey rolls and neck rolls for stretching/mobility afterwards a few times a week. As long as I am consistent with it, I never have problems with my neck when I roll. Phone Post
