So I found this by accident really looking at Convention vids on youtube. A girl had made a Halo costume out of paper. I thought that was impossible because it looked so good but I researched a bit more and yes she had with Pepakura files. In Japanese it means paper craft? Something like that anyway. You can build a 3d model on the computer and print it out as a template to creat pretty much anything. A lot of Convention costumes now are made this way. cont.

This video shows a guy who makes costumes using the paper method but with foam mats. His Iron Man costume is pure foam and paint. You can find Pepakura files online already done for a lot of cool stuff you just have to adapt it to your body type which some of the you tube videos show you how to do.

I see there is a Thor movie costume, Iron Man and war machine costume, Batman Dark knight costume and Robocop costume out there to build, oh and a Dredd helmet.
