A good friend was a former performed at WWE; he was invited to a tryout last Monday. Ring work was solid, great on the mic, and experienced. Knows most the roster.

Was told he needs to be 15-20 lbs heavier.

He's been fairly slack on his diet and exercise lately, so this should be pretty doable. I'm suggesting the basics like protein increase, creatine, etc.

Any imput, bros?

Main thing, unfortunately, is to do more bodybuilding shit. WWE (in other words, Vinnie Mac) has a hard on (yes homo) for bodybuilder types.

Try a mass gainer with as little simple sugars as possible, i recommend Chocolate Serious Mass.

also add a teaspoon of coconut oil to protein shakes. it adds a lot of calories. Phone Post

Heavy high volume concentrics are best for size. I.E. strongman stuff.

He's not competing in bodybuilding, so he doesn't need to train like one. Throw heavy shit. Push and pull heavy shit. Carry heavy shit around.

Do that an eat a lot, especially protein, and he should get bigger relatively fast if he's been slacking.

I have to somewhat disagree with Dougie not because his advice on gaining size and strength isn't spot on, but because it may not be what WWE is looking for. WWE doesn't really hire many "strongman" type physiques. They hire a lot more bodybuilder type physiques.

I mean, take a look at the top guys in "the E", and while they have plenty of athletic ability, most of them are bodybuilder physiques. With the exception of the genetic freaks (Big Show, Kane, etc), the top guys are all bodybuilder muscular. John Cena, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, etc, etc aren't strongman physiques.

Unless your friend has some really over the top skills in some other area (a la CM Punk), his best bet is to get Weider-ish.

His friend already tried out and they liked him. All he needs to do is gain weight.

The fastest way to gain lean size is heavy, high volume concentrics, not bodybuilding. He doesn't need to be concerned with symmetry, so he can skip the fluff and get right to the nuts and bolts. He didn't mention a time limit for this, but no reason to not just get the job done with something that works.

Also, i'm confused about the difference in look you're referring to. e.g. If he did a bodybuilding routine vs a strongman routine for 3 months do you think the latter would somehow make him unhirable because of a big difference in physique? As long as his diet was similar for each, my point is that after whatever time he is going to be spending on this, the strongman routine will make him bigger.

Low dose test and HGH and be sure to cycle off with plenty of time to pass the initial drug test for the wellness program.
