The Ultimate Fighting Championship has been a tremendous boost for Fuel TV’s viewership since the UFC/Fox partnership launched in January 2012, and it is only gaining momentum as time moves on.

The recent UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz Weigh-in Show on Fuel TV on Friday is the latest example, pulling in record TV ratings for a weigh-in show on the network.

The UFC 158 weigh-ins drew 215,000 total viewers for its 4 p.m. ET telecast on Friday, eclipsing the past record by 67 percent. UFC on Fox 2 was the old record holder, drawing 129,000 viewers.

Not only were the UFC 158 weigh-ins tops for weigh-in coverage on Fuel TV, it was also the sixth most-watched show ever on the network, leading Fuel TV to its fifth most-watched day ever.

By comparison, only two UFC on Fuel TV fight night events have ever drawn more viewers than the UFC 158 weigh-ins, showing that Georges St-Pierre’s drawing power stretches to every facet of coverage. UFC on Fuel TV 8 holds top honors for a fight night on Fuel, drawing 485,000 viewers for Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann.

The UFC 158 weigh-ins, as would be expected, also drew top numbers for any weigh-in coverage on Fuel TV in the coveted Men 18-49 advertising demographic, drawing 121,000 total viewers in that category, a 73-percent increase over the previous best of 70,000 for UFC on Fox 2.
