In less than two years as a professional, Ronda Rousey has won all seven of her bouts by arm bar in the first round. She has looked almost unstoppable against all of her opponents, but fellow women's fighter Sara McMann thinks she might not be as unstoppable as people think.

So, what makes McMann’s pedigree that much more threatening than those of Tate and Zingano? Simple—her wrestling.

Tate may have been a state wrestling champion in high school, but McMann’s accomplishments dwarf that blurb on Tate’s resume. To start, McMann was a national champion in high school and earned a silver medal in the 2004 Olympic Games. She’s also racked up a litany of other accomplishments including gold medals at the Pan American Games as well as medals in submission grappling events.

In other words, her resume in wrestling is very similar to Rousey’s in judo, which would make her, at least on paper, the best opponent for Rousey.

So what does the Underground think? Does McMann's Olmypic level athleticism and skill set make her the one with the best chance of taking down Ronda Rousey?

If Cat gets passed Tate then she should get the next shot. McMann would need 1 or maybe 2 UFC wins I'm thinking before she gets her next. I hope they do Cyborg vs Ronda tho at some point.

this is already know.

The UFC is foolings to put all their chips on a one trick pony. They almost lost it when Liz Carmorche had a hanging vascular choke.

I know. There are insides deep within the UFC that are all too ready to sell off insider info.

We're just "there" we don't see need to "buy" anything just yet.

McMann is a great match-up for Rousey.

Yes, McMann is not the best finisher around. It comes with being a wrestler, I guess. Alexis Davis and Marloes Coenen are more "precise" at finishing their opponents, for example.

BUT... she is NEARLY impossible to be finished. I know Rousey has been finished in Judo, but McMann was finished only once in her entire career.

Her athleticism is incredible. She is very, very strong. She was doing push-ups while standing upside down!

She lost (but was not finished) in the Olympics to that Japanese chick who is a 3-time gold medalist in wrestling and is on 153 (YES, 153) winning streak. No shame in that.

Kayla Harrison fights in judo at -78KG. That's 171 pounds. She's not a small girl but do you think she can get down to 135?

Dana is going to be so pissed if McMann holds Rousey down for 5 full rounds and wins.

McMann refuted that and said she never was offered a fight with Rousey.

She has said she like a few more fights, but she wasn't directly offered the fight.

She's right IMO.
