I looked up a few boxing weigh ins from cards I have seen live both in Montreal and Quebec City. The Quebec Commission uses the decimal point for boxers (I have seen XXX.5 and XXX.9 as official weights). Interesting.

Boxing is obviously not MMA but I always assumed weigh in standards would be the same for both combat sports.

GSP has nothing to do with this and it is not a GSP problem. The rule is not even the problem. My issue is the hush hush 'by the way' method information was conveyed. This is the first that anyone has heard of this (coaches and fighters). They are totally unprofessional. Anyone remember when I posted that commission guys(officers and judges) were drinking at the table next to me right before a regional MMA card?

I also discovered the event promoter is responsible for providing the scale for the weigh ins. I noticed it was UFC staff took the scale away after the weigh ins @ UFC 158.

There is no mention of decimal points in the official rules for any of the sanctioned combat sports. Yes, I read it all.
