I see this question all the time, but no offense OP - it's not a good one.

Look at it this way - what would be a good workout for your first barbell?  Or your first pair of dumbbells?

Nobody ever asks those questions, as it would seem silly.  Yet, it gets asked all the time re KBs, bodyweight training, and such.

If you want a good workout, start with goals and programming - not the tool.  Do you want to get stronger?  Better endurance?  Lose weight?  Build up your biceps?

Figure out what kinda workout would accomplish whatever it is you want to do, then determine how to apply a kettlebell to it.  It could be that it won't even be possible.  For example, if your goal is to get stronger, and you can put 200lbs overhead, doing KB presses with a 16kg KB (if that was what you had) won't do you any good.

KBs are just a tool - like anything else.  No special treatment needed.

Steve Cotter. Steve Maxwell or Mike Mahler are all good resources. Phone Post 3.0
