Ip Man 81 -
mmavixen -

Just finished the animated Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1.

I won't spoil it but between the score and the crazy BJJ Batman exhibited at the end, it made me want to go out and start BJJ.

I keep telling myself I am gunna watch the animated dark knight series, yet to do it tho Phone Post 3.0

Do it.  It was excellent.

I'm fairly certain I've seen a 1980's animated batman utilizing jiu jitsu. Couldn't find it, but I have seen it before.

Karate Kid and Enter the Dragon got me into martial arts.

Warrior, Cinderella Man, Tyson (documentary), Kiss of the Dragon, The Fighter, Red Belt, and Jet Li's Fearless are inspiring movies. Phone Post 3.0

TheRaider - Anyone who see's James Hong in a movie and doesn't immediately think of Lo Pan, is missing out.

What's shocking is how bad Big Trouble in Little China did at the box office.

No one knew what to make of it I guess, but that was honestly one of the defining movies of my life.

Jack Burton!

Yea, I remember seeing it in the theater when I was about 17. Was one of my favorite movies. Used to watch it on VHS at my friends house too.

I've seen James Hong in a bunch of movies (most recently Safe) and always think of Lo Pan. Such a great character.

Anyone who DOESN'T see James Hong and immediately think "Lo Pan" should be cast off to the Hell of the upside-down sinners.

Alright I'm 15 minutes into vision quest and it's about a top guy, going down 2 weight classes, and he got flirted with and had his junk grabbed by a guy.

Maybe if he was going up in weight and was getting hit on by a girl, I wouldn't be skeptical. For now, I think it was more of a movie I probably would've enjoyed more back when it came out. I'm going to go back and watch though, just wanted to give my first 15 minute review.

Now time to see who/what this "shoot" at 168 is all about....

ok, that was a good movie. I watched it last night all the way through. Lunatic Fringe, I totally understand this being the walkout song for so many Team QUEST fighters.

And speaking of, that HAS to be the reason they formulated the name Team QUEST, b/c of this movie. Wrestling based, team quest is all wrestlers, it must be.

Young Forrest Whitaker and the girl with the glasses who seems to have a crush on Loudin is So familiar. She was on growing pains of just the ten of us or something.

Also I think Loudin's grandpa is the same guy from Home Alone 1 who scooped the ice.

So happy you liked it.

One of my best childhood emmories was my big sister lettingmem tag along on her date with this wrestling jock she was dating to see "Vision Quest."  He was screaming throughout the whole movie, and I fetl like a grownup out with them.

Not to mention, Jake from Sixteen Candles is in it. I was madly in love...LOL

I'm about to make a thread to get the answer to this but maybe someone can anwer it here.

Team Quest name was inspired by Vision Quest right?  Accomplished wrestlers, they walk out to Lunatic Fringe

There seems to be a direct correlation here
