Man I hope I don't get voted down for saying this b/c I think I'm in the minority considering all the high praise I've heard about Big Trouble in Little China, but I tried watching that movie 2 days ago, and I had to turn it off halfway.

I just couldn't get into the whole mythical Raiden like "gods" who would crash through the roofs. Not believable at all.

An action comedy based on fantasy and kung fu...and it's not believable?? Shocking!  ;)

I won't vote you down. But when you watched, say, "Tremors" were you thinking that giant underground monster worms just not believable at all as well?? haha

I guess I see your point.  Trust me man, I WANTED to enjoy it. I tried. I think had I given it a shot in my younger days I perhaps would've enjoyed it.

I did recently rewatch Tango and Cash watching it with my 2 sons last week. Although I still enjoyed it, I couldn't help but think how stupid some of the prison scenarios were, I have my life experience to blame for not being ignorant to enjoy it.

Rickson Gracie's "Choke" documentary, Roger Gracies movie "The Way of A Jiu-jitsu Champion", Braulio Estimas mini documentary "Road To Adcc", Renzo Gracies documentary "Legacy", and so many others, but those pop up in my head quit quickily.

Gracie Jiu-jitsu simply rocks.

Now go give Jack Burton another chance without your reality glasses on! Just enjoy a ridiculously fun 80s John Carpenter action comedy kung fu fantasy flick like you're supposed to!!  haha  ;)

I have a dear friend, Brian Tyler, that composes scores for films and he admitted to me that this was the score that made him want to compose.  Amazing.

The movie that actually got me to exercise and train was the movie Death Becomes her, the one with Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep. It shows how a person can waste his/her life following fruitless endevors and frivolous desires but it's never to late to start living, like Bruce Willis' characters does after he leaves the two decaying women behind. I had seen the movie before when I was younger but after many moons I saw it again and I finally understood the movie's message. The very next day I started on a diet and started to exercise. I was 305 pounds and got down 155 after that a year and a half later I started training MMA which had been something I wanted to do for some time and I've never been more alive or fit in my life, I've met great people and it has all been better since. Good post Op. Phone Post 3.0
