Prior to lifting, I do 20 minutes on 11 for 2 minutes and 4.5-6 for 1 minute. Occasionally I'll make the last five minutes 1 and 1, or even 1 and 30 seconds.

Post kickboxing/jiu jitsu I'll do 10 minutes 2 on 1 off at 11 and 5.

What do you do? Phone Post 3.0

Id say just keep increasing your pace until you hit your goal. Start at a comfortable pace, then once you get that down, leave your comfort level. My max sprints is 11, while my jog pace is about 9. Phone Post 3.0

If your "on" intervals for 2 minutes long, you're not sprinting. You might be running hard, but you're not sprinting.

Depends on what you're trying to do - improve overall cardio, improve aerobic capacity, burn calories, etc.

What you're doing isn't "bad" - I didn't mean that. It just can't be considered "sprinting". Rather, I'd consider more of a type of tempo interval. That said, there are multiple ways you can perform tempo intervals that I'd probably favor over what you're doing, too.

But again, it would still depend on what you're trying to accomplish.
