IMO the judging needs to be looked at more than the 10 point must. Phone Post 3.0

i think they need to use the system better. what would now be a 10-8 should be 10-7.

10-7 = almost finished

10-8 = dominant round

10-9 = close round

as it is now, there is no difference (scoring wise) between a dominant round and a close round.

agreed. This and the fact that judges feel compelled to give someone a round even when there is no clear winner to the round is what fucks everything up.

I personally prefer the Pride judging but if you must stick with a 10pt must system 10-10 rounds and 10-8 rounds would clear things up dramatically.

10-10 both fighters mount some offence and defence, no fighter clearly holding the advantage or doing more significant damage than the other. (should be used more often instead of trying to find an excuse to pick a side)

10-9 One fighter is in control of the round. it can be close, but should be clear who had the better round

10-8 this if for the dominant rounds that dont results in huge amounts of damage or come close to a finish, but where one fighter clearly outperformed the other and didnt let them get any offence off (far too many of these being scored 10-9 which clouds the decision making process)

10-7 for a complete destruction of the opponont including knockdowns, major damage and/or super close to being finished sub attempts (this should be used about as often as the rare 10-8 is now, basically exchange the two.)

this would make things a lot fairer, probably result in more split draws, but the relaity is that you shouldnt be able to put on two fights, one that is razor close every round, and one that is one sided and have them both called 30-27.
