HexRei - I'd read either, they're both unusual guys. I've also worked as a copy editor and could help out in that regard- even the professional publishers miss stuff.

Good to know.  Let me know if I ever mess up anything I publish on the UG.  I pride myself on doing things correctly for some reason.  I just always found it annoying and distracting when facts or grammar were incorrect in something I was reading.  Thanks.

Agreed!  And I'm sure I'll need some competent representation at some point.  Please keep me in mind, Mr. Pavia.

That's cool, have you tried a library? All of those guys have biographies written on them already.

No problem. And you might wanna get crackin on the War Machine book... I hear intrepid stalker/author Michelle Lopez has like a year's head start on you.

Ha!  I wish her and anyone else well.  There are many stories to tell and many ways to tell a story.  I have a feeling she and I have a different perspective and a different project in mind.  And I am not attracted to Roger Huerta.

Leben. Although I loved reading war machines letters from prison... He seems like an actual scumbag. Leben on the other hand, genuinely seems like a simple dude trying to make the most out of a very difficult upbringing where he seems to frequently fall back on his weaknesses. Plus Hawaii always makes for a wonderful backdrop for the latter part of a documentary.

(We both get tattoo'd by the same artist here in HI). Phone Post 3.0

Have no care in the world at all to read about War Machine. Leben I think would be interesting. No disrespect to either guy but I cant help but think there's gotta be more intriguing fighters out there to write biographies for. Why are you hoping for Leben and War Machine? Not trying to sound like a dick, just genuinely curious about whats behind your choices.

I know I'm late to the party. For what it is worth I have 18 peer-reviewed publications in journals, books, and proceedings and would be happy to read and offer feedback if you are interested. Would be a pleasure.

It's really about how open each guy is and how willing they are to self-examine and share their honest opinions and feelings. Most people in general, and many people in the public eye, are extremely guarded, and getting to their truths involves walls and traps and labyrinths. I'm not up for that yet. Phone Post

Everyone who posts (but does not troll) on this thread is important to me and I truly hope to involve as many of you as possible. I know from writing long fiction in the past that there will be times that I doubt myself and I'll need some support and feedback. Thank you! Phone Post

War machine strikes me as an attention whore. He's not really in the public eye because he's done something noteworthy it's because he acts crazy to get attention. I mean he did a realty show and lost in the first round of the show. Then he did porn and crazy stuff like changing his name to try and stay relevant. I just don't see a story that many people would want to hear.
