Another thread about Jones Toe, yeah I know there are a million threads on it but mine is a question.

How long will an injury like that take to heal? When can we expect to see Jones again?

Is that an injury he can come back from in 4 months or is that 6 month plus type recovery?

I hope it's 1 year, that will teach Joe Silva to not waste a champion's time with stupid match ups like this.

It all depends on if it is a dislocation, or a fracture-dislocation.

Simple dislocation heals super fast.

If its a fracture outside the joint, no big deal. If the fracture reaches the joint, thats more trouble.

And if there is exposed bone, ever more trouble.

So we are looking anywhere from 2 weeks of splinting to 6-8 weeks plus or minus surgery.

Maybe 12 weeks until training can really resume.

Too bad a broken toe doesn't make him mute.

Would have been better if it was a finger so that he could stop tweeting Phone Post 3.0

He'll fight again in 2013 for sure.  Toe's heal pretty quickly and it's a small bone.  He should be able to be training again in like 8 weeks.

What have you accomplished up through the age of 25?

I hate the fuck out of many politicians, what's your point?

Well, Soul Gravy has managed to secure himself an inflatible girlfriend and a permanent residence in the basement of his mom's house.  He has also accomplished a BMI of over 50 and the maintenance of his virginity.

The rare vote down. Why wish that on any young man? He has his entire career ahead if him, and while I'm not really a fan of his I'd like to see where he goes in the sport. Phone Post 3.0

This is true. He could never return. Your entire posterior chain fires off the big toe it's the pivot point. Phone Post 3.0

I wonder how this will effect his workouts, obviously for quite a while he's extremely restricted in what he can do, but this might be his last Lhw fight due to the size ge could put on due to jot working out Phone Post

He'll be out six months. I just broke my big toe...not that bad however...it takes forever to heal

Its tough to tell from the replays showed, but it looks like he has a compound fracture. Or a terrible dislocation. His "toe-pad/soul" was rotated 90 degree away from the rest of his toes, plus the angle of dislocation/bone break. The heavy bleeding also looked like he had ripped the skin on the bottom of his toe. Ripped skin seems like more than just a basic dislocation or break.

That was an oddly gross injury.

lol well here's something I know about. It will take a very long time. I did nothing near that in a street fight 25 year's ago while not wearing shoes and my toe is still screwed up. Its still not right and I can tell you it will be a long time period.
