A few things that annoyed me aside from the dreadfully dull fight.

1 - Floyd saying more than once that it was all "blood, sweat and tears tonight". What the fuck fight did he watch? Some sweat, but not much.

2 - Obviously all of the Jesus talk is always cringe worthy. Shut you pie hole with that crap. A mention is acceptable, though entirely unnecessary, but those tireless 'lord and savior' rants that never seem to end (ala, Vitor a couple fights back, and Holyfield down the stretch run of his career) always make me want to throw puke at the screen!

3 - Guererro saying he was happy to come and inspire all the fans tonight. Who the fuck exactly does he think he inspired?

4 - Guererro even daring to speak of a rematch. Stop right there!

5 - Floyd continuing to resist the fights that the fans want to see, even at 36 years old. They should be all over committing to a fight with Alvarez. Floyd, Manny and Arum, completely fucked up the most golden opportunity in boxing a couple years ago, and you just know Floyd and his camp are going to fuck up the fight with Guererro too.

6 - Lastly..........$32,000,000 for Floyd tonight. I sure as fuck did not put any of that money into his pocket. There are certain boxers I will buy a ppv for, but he is not one of them. That fight sucked, despite the defensive wizardry put on by Floyd, His fights are a fucking drag man.

There, I feel better already!

True. Ruben's act should have stopped at the staredown, if not the press conference. He seems to be milking the limelight a little too much now.

One thing that cracked me up during the fight was that guy beside Holyfield. You could see Evander was getting annoyed by the time the camera was cutting out. That dude with the white hair was an idiot, and I liked him!

I'd take the fight that I just watched over the sloppy kickboxing, cage holding and LnP exhibitions that make up the majority of MMA fights.

Make no mistake however, this is a Floyd Mayweather thing for me, not a boxing thing. As much as I love mma, I am one of the biggest boxing fans out here, as are several others on the UG, but this guy (Floyd) is just too much. How the hell does he generate enough ppv sales to earn $32,000,000 for that garbage?

Number 1 should be maybe you find something else to do when there is boxing going on. You could have eliminated all that other nonsense you spewed.

I always wonder the same thing.

I am amazed by his ability to avoid punches, especially when backed up into the corner.

However, I don't find his fights particularly exciting to watch.

Canelo Needs a couple more fights before he takes on Mayweather. As I do agree Manny vs Mayweather should have happened Mayweather would have destroyed him. Now that Manny's chin has been shattered by Marquez there is so much less interest in the fight. Nobody can compete with Mayweather at this weight class he is to damn good.

You put Canelo in this soon he will lose, I would rather see him fight after a couple matches to make this a truly exciting fight. Canelo is the only guy out there that can give Mayweather trouble ATM but he will have a better chance if he takes a couple more fights first.

His mouth, lifestyle, and #1 P4P. Phone Post

I still don't get it. His mouth is not exactly gifted for the gab.......he is no Ali, rather he speaks like a punk most of the time, so I can't see how that appeals to the masses. His lifestyle? I can't imagine people are buying up his ppv's because Floyd is rich and throws away hundreds of thousands at casinos when he's not beating down the ladies in his life. His p4p status is certainly a selling feature for pay-per-view, but his fights, and the style with which he approaches them is not. Not to the 32 million dollar degree, anyhow.

I am obviously missing something key, and you are obviously more accurate than I because the fact remains, he is selling those tickets. I am simply perplexed by it. I am absolutely fucking baffled to be honest. I think the public has made a huge mistake with Floyd, when they should be getting more bang for their buck with any number of more exciting fighters, and Champions.

Canelo is 42 wins, 0 losses and he's 23 years old.
A record doesn't make a great fighter, legacy does.

Muhammad Ali had 5 losses, Ray Robinson had 19, but people call them the greatest because of their legacy and their willingness to take fights they shouldn't have won.

With that said, Mayweather's 44 wins outshine Canelo's 42 in terms quality.

Realized he was just troll. No need to feed him. Gotta love that he had the audacity to say that on an MMA website, let alone the UG.

That's really all the problem I have with Mayweather. I know and can see that he's a great boxer, his unwillingness to prove it by fighting the best in their prime to preserve his record for the sake of "business" is just fucking frustrating. And that's coming from a Pacquiao fan who know's that right now and 3 years ago, Mayweather would beat him by decision.

Mayweather is the fucking man bro-skiz. I remember reading about how he even makes money off of every soda, hotdog, and popcorn that's ordered at the event. He's "Money" May for a reason. I was worried after the 1st round but it was just a fluke and LoL @ Ruben Guerrero. The man is a disgrace. I even made a thread about him. When the fighters met in the middle of the ring to hear the Referee's instructions and he went full retard and him going "cholo" once again like always and telling his son "He ran like a chicken mijo" was just shameful. It was so shameful even the announcers had to say something about it. How did he not make your list?

Floyd is great yes but I don't get why ppl sucks his balls with his "great defensive displays" and the same ppl hate GSP and Bendo for not finishing ppl.

Floyd doesn't have a high finish rate when you look at his record from fighting top tier guys....when he can actually agree to fight them. Phone Post

Oddly, I actually thoroughly enjoyed that fight. It's like watching somebody on cheat mode, he is an incredible boxer. Phone Post 3.0
