Well maybe since Guerrero is from my area I knew more about him haha. But yeah Mayweather made a huge payday out of just fighting this pretty much warm up fight Phone Post 3.0

edited for a few grammar adjustments

Last night we saw Floyd Mayweather v Robert Guerrero.  While RG has a high punch output and doesn't give up, he didn't move laterally well enough to keep up with FM and doesn't have a ton of pop on the punches. He also had a difficult time making adjustments last night.  It appeared his plan was to wait for FM and then counter immediately.  Problem with that is FM is very good at taking an angle and shooting sharp punch(es) and then moving away.  Waiting on FM is not the best approach to fighting him IMO; he's too crafty, fast, and elusive for that.

Potential opponents

Pacquiao
I say Paq wins by KO if they were to fight.  In Paqs last two fights, Marquez and Bradley, Marquez appeared to have gained a good amount of size and strength, which is miraculous at 39 yrs old and was starting to get lit up before that one perfectly placed punch and step on the foot.  And Bradley? please, Paq beat him handily.
While FM is a very good 'boxer', he’s not much of a fighter and Paq would make him fight.

Bradley
I think it would wind up being a boring point scoring game instead of a fight.  FM is much better at that game than Bradley is.  I don't see FM KOing Bradley and it might appear competitive at times, but FM takes it easy.

Alvarez
Solid puncher, but I think just a tad too slow for FM.  And as was mentioned earlier, the fight won't happen for a bit due to both being GBP fighters and the Alvarez money could drop off a bit if he lost.  They'll let Saul marinate in shallower waters until a later date.  It would be interesting in the beginning, but I think FM gets on his bike and rides to the finish in a monster sized ring.

Martinez
Not sold on Martinez.  Coming down in weight he will be the slower fighter regardless of who he would fight at that weight, but against FM there will look like and be and wider gap in the speeds.
This one may seem odd, but....

Victor Ortiz
I know, I know....he lost to him before in a dirty fight on both sides AND has the appearances of someone who perhaps isn't wrapped as tight as he should be, but he showed no fear of FM. He was also taking the fight to FM until he retaliated to one of FM's dirty tricks (forearm to throat) with an even dirtier/more blatant one (jumping head butt), only to be bested by a borderline tactic by FM.  In reality the final tactic wasn't the fault of FM per say, but more that Joe Cortez lost control of the moment and was not clear in post incident instructions and VO pulled a dumb move in dropping his hands after the 'hug/apology'.  All were to blame in that incident, the least of which was FM.

NJstileNJ - Nobody can or will beat him... Guerrero was literally swinging at air, by the time he was done with his punch mayweather was already behind him. He would do the same to everyone else. The closest fight would be with Sergio Martinez but I think Sergio is slowing down judging by his last fight and half. Canelo would get knocked out by mayweather as would Garcia. Phone Post 3.0

The last night version of Mayweather beats all fighters at WW or Jr MW out there today.

Love him or hate PBF is the most technically proficient Boxer out there with the speed and athleticism to exceed all comers.

Martinez has fought 8 of his 55 fights at Middleweight. Before then they were all either Light Middle or Welterweight.

Mayweather currently has the WBA Light Middleweight title. Sergio relinquished his WBC Light Middleweight title to fight Kelly Pavlik.

The reason people get extremely excited for a Martinez/Mayweather fight is the pound for pound statis.
Mayweather is #1 p4p.
Martinez is anywhere from #2 to #4 p4p.

They both fight near the same weight, would this fight not make sense? Do we really need to see Mayweather fight a Guerrero, or Martinez fight a Murray?

Not saying their choosing bad fighters to get easy wins, but for $32 mil in Floyd's case, and 50,000 cheering fans in Sergio's case, you'd think they'd want to fight each other.

Floyd's next fight will very likely be Devon Alexander. He's got a tuneup basically in 2 weeks he should get through easily. September Date means not much time to promote a huge fight, so it certainly won't be Canelo. Marquez & Bradley are fighting each other as well. Alexander is pretty much the only one that makes any sense. The other possibility would be Malignaggi if he managed to get past Broner.

I think he could beat sergio now, sergio has slowed down a lot in the past 2 years. Why do people keep talking about sergio/canelo anyways? Floyd walks at 147... he could fight at 140. Canelo is probably walking around at 175, there is no need for Floyd to go up to 154 at 36 years old.

Possbily but you're 100% correct that he takes punishment, exactly why he doesn't want to fight him. Canelo could take a few fights off his career.
