With what appears to be without question the biggest fight in the history of the UFC on the horizon (Jones/Silva), it got me thinking what has been the most anticipated/hyped fight ever in the UFC on paper. I know the actual fights don't always live up to the anticipation. What do you think are some of the biggest UFC fights the UFC has ever had on paper? Here are some of mine:

Gracie - Shamrock II
Penn - St. Pierre I
Penn - Hughes I
Gracie - Hughes
Silva - Sonnen II

Was there just not much hype at the time behind Hendo vs Rampage and Hendo vs Anderson? Seems like the title unifications from that time would hold a place on this type of list. Phone Post 3.0

Jones and Rashad was hyped for years.

They really built it up well.

Tito vs Shamrock was also pretty huge. Phone Post

I've seen every UFC. There's been so many fights, its easy to forget some of them.

Couture - Belfort I

Superfight feel....Belfort was destroying everyone and Randy just took it to him.

It's funny how a lot of these fights were pretty much one sided even though they were the "biggest" fight during the time they happened.
