Hagler lost...

Sugar Ray won the fight everywhere...

while running...
even when he stayed in the pocket...
hagler lost cause he didn't do shit...
all the talk of how he was too strong...
couldn't do shit against sugar ray's speed!

he lost.

Hagler came to fight.... Ray came to win.

I would have scored it to Hagler... at no point was he hurt... he just kept coming forward to fight... Ray ran and kept touching him with his gloves and the judges gave him points for that???

I don't understand why people criticise the 'hit and move' strategy, I get that it's a fight but part of fighting is being defensive an taking as little damage as possible, I agree that sugar was flashy and stayed behind his jab but that's what won him the fight IMO, everyone loves a good brawl but you also have to appreciate defensive strategy. Hagler was robbed, Leonard stole the rounds with small flurries at the end of each round to win over the judges but its unfortunate they fell for it... Phone Post 3.0

If anyone wants to post scores for the re-score it begins tonight

I'll start by noting I scored the fight 115-114 HAGLER (Tied the 9th round)

As far as the fight goes I really have to pay attention to the exchanges when scoring it. Ray certainly had his moments and rounds, but ultimately it came down to the harder punches/work and land rate. Ray's combination punching had quite a bit of flair and speed, but I didn't feel it was enough to discredit the work Marvin did on his way in/while inside sometimes. Ray fought a great fight, its hard to say he didn't box enough to win the fight, but Hagler slightly edged him overall for effective pressure/punching.

Ray took his best shots...and showed no effects.
Ray stole those rounds...

That's what lost it for him...Ray was still around in the end!
