So I'm 6 weeks into insanity and find that working out at home is working well for me. Between long work hours, family commitments and BJJ in evenings 2/3 times a week being able to get out of bed and hour early and do a reasonable work out at home is very convenient.

Considering P90x next. Wondering what I need apart from the discs? Any of you guys done it?

Goals are essentially 'general fitness' not particularly focused on gaining strength/bulking/losing fat. Just trying to keep active at 40 years old and with a hectic lifestyle. Phone Post 3.0

It's basically dumbells and a chin-up bar for equipment(or those rubber band things as an alternative to both)

A friend of mine is burning the Insanity DVDs for me. Looking forward to trying it out, and seeing how it will help with my martial arts training. Phone Post 3.0

I'm going to be starting P90x soon. I haven't checked out Insanity yet but might give it a go after I've done a round of P90x.

Just started p90x yesterday. I thought I was in decent shape till about 20 mins into the first workout. The second half of the workout I couldn't even do any of the pull ups unassisted so I just resisted the decent as much as possible. My upper body is wrecked today
I was sceptical but if the other workouts are anything like the first I can definitely see it living up to the hype. Phone Post

I just bought a door frame pull up bar and resistance bands since I didn't want to clutter my bedroom with weights. Phone Post

Since you are doing insanity it probably won't be such a shock to your system like it is to me. I'm still f'ed from Saturdays workout, I wasn't ready for 50 minutes of pushups and pull ups, and fuck the plyometrics workout. Phone Post

For insanity, nothing. It's all body weight. Get a good mat though mate.

I've got two weeks to go and to be honest I'm fucking bored of it. Once it's done I think I'll do p90x then after that I'm thinking ill do a hybrid of the two maybe 4 mornings a week rather than 6. Phone Post 3.0

The first 4 weeks are tough, but doable (for me). Week 5 is then a recovery week and fairly straightforward.

The second 4 week block however....holy shit! I'm struggling to do more than about 2/3rds of it. Might go back to the first block and work through that again. Phone Post 3.0

Did a search and found this thread.

This is were I'm at, I want to get back in the ring haven't has a kickboxing full contact fight for 4 years now as I have had other commitments. I want to go from 187lb to 154lb as a fight weight.

I am out of shape but will train a lot to be ready early 2014.

I want to do p90x I have had a few goes, but I find it hard with the diet plan as I live in England and the stuff is American based. Hard to get some of the stuff mentioned. Anyway I can sort the diet.

I just wanted to know how you guys who did it ate? Did you follow it clean or substitute stuff in or control what you ate and did the work outs?

What kind of results did you get?

Blue namer please....

And if she wasn't hot enough look at this ..Althought it looks like another person and not her, either that or she has had a nose job as well as the obvious boob job.

But when beachbody put stuff like this out there I think WTF

http://c2.likes-media.com/img/effcaafbf2feab8175fb08ff4cdb60e5.600x Seriously?

I know they are all not 90 day transformations but still.

It's all about diet.... Well 90% is. I didn't even bother with the inanity diet plan at all. I find exercising relatively easy (making time and doing it I mean) and at41 I have got the best cardio and strength of my life, but I'm not exactly ripped.

I struggle with the diet side so I'm not the best person to ask mate: your weight goal sounds achievable though:, where in the UK are you? Phone Post 3.0

Getting ripped in 90 days is absolutely possible as long as you're not Michelle mama us, but you'll need to be giving militant about your diet Phone Post 3.0

Those pictures arent that crazy. It shouldnt be a surprise the body will look better without a layer of fat hiding existing muscles. Diet is absolutely key though. Half ass the diet and youll get half ass results.
