MiddleEasy's Layzie the Savage caught up with UFC president Dana White, whose face has become synomymous with the company, and talked about when he might retire.

"I know how much work there is to do, and I am so arrogant about it (that) I honestly believe nobody else can do it. I honestly believe that.

"Listen, the UFC can live without me, absolutely 100%. The dude who started f------ McDonalds is gone. Dave Thomas is gone.

"But I know what I want to do. I still know what needs to be done. You know? Once I do that, I am pretty comfortable, with saying 'OK' you know?

"And I have to be aligned with the Fertitta brothers, too. I can't get to the point "OK, I'm outa here, thanks guy, I'm leaving… We're partners."

"Still seven or eight years."

Yeah, there is no way he just walks away while he still owns part of the org.

Even if he left the pres role and the spotlight he would still be involved behind the scenes.

Only way he is truly gone from the UFC is if they sell the company to someone else.

There is just no way he could leave and retire while owning the UFC, as soon as something gets done he doesnt like he would be right back in teh offices trying to fix it. all the money doesnt mean shit, he seems to really love what he does. UFC could be as big as teh NFL in 10 years and he still wouldnt be happy, he will want to make it even bigger.

Dana White could cement his legacy, which in truth is so/so, by bucking the trend and making sure the lower-tier fighters are making some cash.

Same with the two brothers.

I am starting to be a little disillusioned with how much money they pull in and how little goes to the fighters.

I also find it funny that so many "tough guys" are deathly afraid to speak up. Personally, I'd rather get fired than watch others make bank off my blood.

This post will get deleted by shills, but I hope people know it is true. UFC ticket, $450. First fighter making 6 grand with a loss and possible dementia as an old man. How wonderful.

True, but the UFC wouldnt be the same without dana. I enjoy listening to Dana speak just as much as i enjoy watching the fights. He completes the whole UFC experience. I mean come on can you imagine how boring "fight week blog week" would be with scott coker or reed harris etc... Phone Post 3.0

The Corleone family was never the same after Vito... The UFC family wouldn't be the same without the Baldfather.

Well I watched two good friends agree to duke it out this weekend. Loser got KOd and had to pay the bar tab. They risked it for fun. Fighter minimum pay keeps advancing in the UFC. And is more than anyone else's minimums. What about the guys making 3k in bellator? Do they risk only half the dementia? Are you on bellator threads putting them on blast? Exactly how many extra viewers do you think prelim guys are bringing in? It's their foot in the door to maybe make millions. And be at the pinnacle of the sport perhaps. That belt is worth more than money to some. Just to be clear I am super grateful to all fighters for risking it and putting their bodies on the line

And please stop saying its just six grand. If you have zero or minimal sponsor money while on the biggest stage in the sport well...sorry for ya.

UFC without any of the current cast will suck.

Dana you better stay where the hell you are, my friend.

I feel sorry for you.

I wonder what it is like defending things when it seems you might have a heavy bias.

I make no money off MMA in any way.
I make my money far away from it.

Why don't you go tell that to some guys on the next UFC prelims and wax poetic about all your wonderful facts.

UFC is the #1 show in the world, they need to greatly improve how the fighters who the people are there to see are taken care of.

It needs to improve.

I ordered the PPV this weekend, so I suppose I contribute to the problem as well.

On the voice versus segment he said casinos are the only other business he can see himself in if he left fighting. Phone Post 3.0
