IF we look at game theory Bellator is making a huge mistake trying to go up against the UFC instead of working with the UFC.

From a fans perspective it's not very appealing following bellator fighters only to have them stuck there. after you see a guy reach the top of bellator so what? who wants to invest time in that?

that's fine if you just wanna watch fights but that's a small amount of people.

If you can follow their progression to the UFC, then Bellator becomes a very valuable product... much like college football's position with the NFL.

This will also decrease their current and future talent costs tremendously while increasing the quality and name value of their talent.

if they didnt have such restrictive contracts they wouldnt need to pay as much and much better talent would be willing to sign with them.

This is by far the more superior and more sustainable business model for bellator.

We already know what's gonna happen to bellator by going up against the ufc so let's put ego's aside and do the right thing.

From what's been said, they are making money. On top of that, they have billions of dollars backing them. It's hard to say they should be doing anything differently Phone Post 3.0

Bellator puts on FREE, entertaining as fuck fight cards.

From a fan perspective that is all that should matter.

It would only be like college football if the fighters were ineligible to fight in the UFC and were not getting paid.

Minor leagues is more apt, I think.

I miss the Zuffa owned smaller shows.

WEC and Strikeforce were always a blast. Phone Post 3.0
