XFC 24 Shah Bobonis vs Deivison Ribeiro Live on Axstv
XFC 24 Shah Bobonis vs Deivison Ribeiro Live on Axstv

On June 14, Shah " The Showstopper" Bobonis will step in the cage for the 23rd time as a professional fighter.  Bobonis (15-7) will be a part of XFC 24: Collision Course lineup, fighting LIVE from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa Florida, where he takes on Brazilian Featherweight Deivison "The Dragon" Ribeiro (23-9).

Winning 7 out of his last 8 bouts, the always entertaining Bobonis looks to make a statement against the more experienced Ribeiro.  Known for his wrestling and exceptional cardio conditioning, Shah Bobonis has been a force to be reckoned with since debuting in 2007.  These will undoubtedly be keys to victory for Bobonis when he faces the submission specialist in Ribeiro.  If there has been a chink in the armor of “The Dragon”, it has been his inability to counter pure wrestling and gassing in the later rounds.  Bobonis will surely try to exploit those holes in Ribeiro’s game, if they still exist.

The always outspoken Bobonis had this to say about his upcoming XFC bout: “I would love to give everyone a great sound bite or quote, but the fact of the matter is this, I don’t have anything bad to say about this guy.  I’m taking him very serious.  I have had my own two fight losing streaks in the past and they weren’t a sign that I was falling off or anything like that, so I’m not thinking or assuming he is either, just because he has lost a couple fights. The guy has 23 wins for a reason. You don’t win 23 fights by accident. I just think he has had to go through an adjustment period getting use to American MMA and wrestling.  It’s my job to assume he has made the necessary adjustments, and I have to be ready to beat the best Ribeiro we’ve seen.”

Shah Bobonis and Xtreme Fighting Championships make their way to Tampa, Florida for XFC 24 on June 14, 2013. The event is presented by ICRealTime Security Solutions and ThroatPunch Ind. Apparel. The event will be broadcast Live on AXS TV from the beautiful USF Sun Dome, beginning at 9pm.  Follow Shah Bobonis on Facebook and Twitter @shahbobonis.
