Koga - Somewhere between the "Ben Spijkers prank called me and threatened my wife" excuse and the "luring a mugger in NYC" story on the believability scale. You don't have to wonder what Master Robson, 9th Degree and FJJERJ President, thinks of his son Renzo's tales that he had no food or place to live at 14.

I heard the Ben Spijkers story right from him a couple of weeks after it happened. I would bet 1k against a dime it is true.

His father was detained, and tortured, by security police. I don't know what years that took place in, but military did not cede control until the mid 1980s. I have no idea what the family finances were like, if he took off for the summer, or what. But I would not assume as you imply that he grew up rich because his father is now a 9th degree black belt.

I only check FB once in a while, but I just "liked" that page.

In for the sordid tales.

I absolutley loved doing club security.  Some of the funnest, craziest, most dangerous, best times of my life.

Wait, a 14-year-old Renzo beat up Jon Bon Jovi when he got belligerent at a whorehouse?

If you watch Renzo Gracie "Legend", the documentary about his fight career, there is a portion of the movie where Renzo is sitting with his father, and his father goes on about how he could never keep a job or provide for the household.

Also if you look at the behavior of Renzo's brothers Ralph and Ryan (RIP), you immediately notice what street people they are. Those two make even the colorful Renzo look like a well balanced person!

Why exactly could he not hold down a job or provide for the household ? Did he attempt to open a JJ academy ? Was he not educated ? He is not that far removed from Helio's side. What happened ? Political trouble ?

I don't find it plausible that he likes Bon Jovi that much.
