So Weidman didn't want to negotiate his contract before the Silva fight, taking a big risk.

He's the champ now, with a once in a life time opportunity to command Anderson Silva money. He can easily ask for US$ 600,000 to show, plus PPV percentages, and other benefits/bonuses... the UFC wouldn't kick their new champ off to the kerb now would they?

Imagine going from 24k/24k to 600k/200k, or whatever he'll ask for, in just over a round and change.

he will not get anything close to that.

 

Anderson spent 7 years building up to that kind of cash, i'd expect him to get 100+ though.
