Silva's hands held a lot higher than at the end and Weidman got in so deep with that shot. I haven't seen a shot that deep between 2 quality opponents in a long time. Then he was laying some heavy hands on Silva on the ground, he hit Silva with some hard punches. Weidman also landed some great punches on the feet, I think the combo of the quick shot and Weidman actually being able to hit him with clean punches off balanced Silva a lot more than we ever seen.

Rewatch the fight. He wasn't getting worked over. Silva got clipped by 8-10 clean punches standing and wasn't landing many clean shots himself. Silva no doubt is the better pure striker but it's mma.

Yep, Weidman was winning with cleaner shots but Anderson's shots looked much more devastating, especially with the taunting.

Anderson was being Anderson and it caught up to him. 99 times out of a 100 AS Ko's Weidman but this was that 1 time. Phone Post

Weidman wasn't predictable. When Andy stood in front and taunted, Weidman threw punches was connecting. He also would double up, throwing left, left or right, right, making it tough for Silva to slip clean. And watch Weidman start combos with his right hand that landed surprisingly flush on 3 or 4 occasions.

Silva was/is an awesome fighter but he didn't "give" Weidman anything, Chris Weidman took it.

this chris was landing hard on anderson in the stand up...people look at the goofy antics and assume anderson was winning..but you dont score points for showboating

Buster Douglas type shit, or Matt Serra, or whatever. It's nuts Matt is his head coach, and they both go and KO the top 2 P4P fighters in the UFC Phone Post 3.0

LOL at Silva easily stuffing Weidman's takedown. Not hard to stuff a takedown with your hands at your knees and backing up. Plus Weidman never fully committed to a takedown after the first one because he was confused at what Anderson was doing. Anderson was doing the same thing to Chael in the first fight before Chael rocked him, but was unable to finish. Same thing against Maia, but Maia had no stand up to take advantage of the situation.

I don't honk AS's clowning makes him the better fighter. That may have been true if he won. He was trying to get in CW's head and failed epicly. Phone Post

You're crazy if you think Silva didn't give it to him. He treated Chris even worse than he treated Bonnar. He allowed Chris to punch him trying to prove that it didn't hurt. He was KO'd by a combination of Chris and hubris.

Live by the sword die by the sword. Anderson has always done that to "intimidate" his opponents. Weidman wasn't scared and Anderson mentally folded.
