Time and time again history has shown us that athletes who retire young don't stay retired long.

They start missing the money. The analysts launch into 'what if' mode. Their fans on the street deluge them with comeback questions, reinforcing how great they were. Their bodies start to heal while their athlete identity starts to diminish and the future seems less certain.

They have time to think: "what would I have done differently." And with the pressure off, a comeback seems more and more enticing.

tito has given himself LOTS of time to heal. I think its just what he needed and he's probably ready to give it another go.

it was the constant injuries that did him in. how are you supposed to train with a cracked skull and a broken back? hopefully he's good.

k1levelstriking - Rampage vs Tito in Bellator?

He claims his body is healing but what if he loses his comeback fight? Will we hear about all 50 of his injuries? Phone Post 3.0
He said almost...ALMOST healed. That means there will always be an injury Phone Post 3.0

Ask Ryan Bader how dangerous a healthy Tito Ortiz is.

Tito won't be happy until a volcano erupts in the middle of his forehead when a high kick upsets the fragile balance of his tectonic plate head.

I can't help but love Tito. No matter what he does, says, or win/lose, there's a part of me deep down in the pit of my stomach that loves and respects that guy. That said, I really don't want to see him fight again. He came, he saw, he conquered, it's time to move on. Phone Post 3.0

I think all the retired fighters(or semi retired) should come out for a one night only UFC paper view. Lets get Tito, Chuck, Frye, Severn, Royce, Coleman, Randy, Goodridge. Just an idea. Phone Post 3.0

Tito vs Randy in Bellator on Spike would pop a big rating.

Tito vs Rampage could do the same.

They'd be fools to not do it if possible.

The UFC did it with Shamrock-Ortiz III on Spike TV which was a mismatch beating that popped a huge rating.

So, Bellator would be taking after the leader in using such a match to sell Fight Master. Phone Post
