Kondo is a legend of Japanese MMA... Having said that, was his headkick "KO" of Frank Shamrock legit? Looked a bit questionable to me and Pancrase had occasional works back then.

 


Did you see the whole fight? That was one of the more brutal Pancrase fights of that time. Frank was in mount trying to cave Kondo's head in. Then Kondo got to the feet and pounded on Frank.

How was that questionable?

Ummm...the ending.

lol- so a great striker outstriking a guy who is fatigued and has minimum striking skills (at the time) is suspicious? Or was it when the strikes knocked him through the large gap in the ropes and Frank fell backward, hitting the back of his head on the floor in an area where there was no padding?

either way, sounds like a reasonable assumption
