Barbalos - Screw you Kennedy. Prove something in MMA before you start talking shit on those who have contributed more to this sport than you likely ever will.

like, by beating Roger Gracie, Lawler, Manhoef, Jason Miller, etc ?

or like what you've done? which is?!?
You can't bring up what a random person has done compared to a regular person. That's just a way to say something when you run out of insults. Grow up Phone Post 3.0

So, you're saying the guys that Kennedy has beaten doesn't matter, or what?

I would say I disagree with Steve90210 on about 70% of the issues on here or BE.

This is not one of those times. Dude is straight correct here. TRT is a joke.

Kennedy needs to spend less time talking and more time working on his skill sets. He didn't look that spectacular in his last fight.

and somehow the people that Kennedy has beaten doesn't matter? if that's the case, then your argument is simply illogical...

clearly you're the one that needs to grow up. Kennedy has beaten some tough guys in MMA... he's earned the right to have an opinion in the sport.

I agree with his general point but its not like pinning a little test makes you superman... If that was the case ALL fighters would be on the level of vitor and hendo.

I wish it was that simple but its not... Drugs help, of course, but natural ability is still the biggest determinant of how good a fighter is. Phone Post 3.0

Sure, but drugs turn good athletes into great athletes and great athletes into unbelievable athletes.

Barry Bonds was a great player before he started juicing, one of the best of his generation. After juicing, he became the greatest offensive force the game has ever seen. Marc McGwire was a very good slugger before juicing. After becoming a juiced pig, he absolutely shattered all-time HR records and put up better numbers in every offensive category.

Drugs won't make a shitty fighter into a great fighter, but they will turn a good fighter into a great fighter, and a great fighter into an unbelievable monster.

Mark McGuire was a horrible choice to use as an example of someone who nearly destroyed a sport!  In 1994, MLB cancelled the season and there was no World Series Champion that year.  Because of this, baseball struggled to maintain it's popularity for several years.  It wasn't until the 1998 season when baseball recovered due to the race of McGuire & Sosa to set the single-season home run record.  Because of McGuire, the popularity of baseball surged!

Yes, the steroid era after he retired was a black eye on the sport, but that doesn't change the fact that he almost single handedly brought the sport back from the dead.

Can he have 1 interview without mentioning being in the military or something associated with the military?! That and bitching about or criticizing something. He's annoying as fuck! Before any military people get their panties in a bunch, its nothing ag the military. It's about him constantly talking about the same thing over and over Phone Post 3.0

Farthammer - And Skarhead...everything I have read says that people who suffer from hypogonadism is less than 5% of adult males. Where are you getting your figures?

5% of the adult male population is a SHIT LOAD of people if you're counting numbers....and it doesn't take into account all the poor saps who never seek help or treatment due to sheer embarrassment...you're talking thousands....Now add in the people that got if from being hardcore endurance athletes and overtraining and you have even more.....Also, go visit any known steroid/ bodybuilding forum ....go to the TRT section....and you'll read tons of stories about guys suffering from hypogonadism from both steroid use , poor lifestyle choices, and YES plenty of guys that just have it naturally from as early as their 20's.

And there is no way of knowing who has it naturally or who got it from juicing. There is no test for it...Even for those that got it from abusing in their past...you can't punish someone forever because of the mistakes of their youth. Especially someone like Vitor who was juicing from the time he was 19 (at least) and came from a time when it was NOT illegal in the UFC....and was completely legal in Brazil and Japan....and frankly encouraged in PRIDE....this testing for perf. enhancers thing is a relatively new thing in MMA.

Then you have a guy like Dan who has been competing his entire life, wrestled since jr. High, through college, and the Olympics.....and has been overtraining his ass off for nearly 20 years now in just MMA alone, which drastically reduces levels, not to mention all the head trauma these guys receive, not to mention DECADES of weight cutting. in fights and training which has PROVEN to cause hypogonadism in a great many athletes.

There is simply no way to discern who got it naturally, from over training, weight cutting, head trauma, or steroid abuse....so you can't throw out the baby w/ the bath water.

Wrinkle - "If you have a guy who can only fight in a scenario where hes injecting synthetic testosterone into his body, he shouldn't be fighting."

It's hard to disagree with this

Steve4192 - I'm not a fan of Tim Kennedy, but I am a fan of anyone who trolls the fuck out all these MMA alpha-males who 'mysteriously' get diagnosed with the testosterone production of a teenage girl and are 'prescribed' TRT in their early to mid 30s (or 20s in Todd Duffee's case).

It's a joke. The only reason these guys need TRT is because they screwed up their natural testosterone production by using steroids at some point in their career. Most of 'em never got caught juicing, but their mysterious low T at a relatively young age is a pretty damning. Vitor doesn't even have plausible deniability. He did get caught juicing and now uses TRT to compensate for the damage the steroids did to his gonads.

tons of regular men in their 20's and 30's have Low T ... you have very little understanding of what you are talking about
