There is certainly no love lost between the UFC and Bellator or their respective President's Dana White and Bjorn Rebney. The two organizations battled back and forth with Eddie Alvarez and White is expecting the same with Ben Askren:

"Bjorn Rebney's a scumbag," White said Wednesday night. "The guy says, 'Yeah, we're going to let him go. Let's just part ways.' You ain't f---ing parting ways with him. He's got a matching right and all that bulls---. This guy is a fucking typical boxing piece of s---. Everybody knows the guy is a scumbag.

"We'll see what happens with Ben. First they say they're going to let him go. They're not going to let him go. They'll probably end up suing him too and make him sit out and lose a bunch of money and f--- him in a deal. Bad guys. They're bad guys."

It is business, plain and simple.

Bellator can be criticized for a number of things, but this is not one of them.

So if they are both scumbags who is the bigger scumbag?

Well thats kind of a stupid question to ask cause you wont get honest replies.

Dana let Randy leave when he wanted too right? It's not like he had to go to the courts to challenge the contract...

Or when Rampage was talking mad shit about the UFC they just let him go right?

Or when Ken had to sue because he felt he was owed more fights but found out the hard way corporate lawyers the best money can buy trump some lower tier lawyer he could afford.

Add in all the disgruntled fighters who have been mocked for their accomplishments by a guy who never fought. At least the WWE treats their former champs with respect.

Note to those aspiring to be a pro-mixed martial artist…
Shoot straight for the UFC & bypass Bellator.

Bellator will hold your career back if your moving on up. Like Eddie Alvarez….

Bellator is where you go once you’ve retired…

Sort of like the old folks home in Florida!

So if they get an offer to fight in Bellator they should just pass on it no matter what?

People always bring up that Randy Couture situation, but never come close to getting the facts right. Do you guys even research things before you site them?

Randy had signed a deal, and a year later when he found out he wasn't being as highly paid as some of the Pride guys coming in decided he was going to "resign" from the UFC and compete for the competition.

That's all time dumb on Randy's part. Imagine if Lebron decided he was going to "resign" from the Heat and go play for the Lakers next year. That's completely different from letting a guy sign where he wants as a free agent.

Have whatever opinion you want, but please, at least let it make sense and be based in just a little bit of fact.

Well...if Rebney is going to pull a fast one on Askren then it is a scumbag move. Why would you not be candid about the plans you have for your undefeated champion? I would rather him say that they will do everything they can to keep him and then fight tooth and nail in a legal battle. Phone Post

Literally no-one is denying that. The point is that Dana has pulled far more scumbag moves than Bjorn and is even more of a crooked businessman. He's throwing stones in a very fragile glass house with that comment.

I don't get this. Didn't Askren come out and say he wanted to go to the UFC before Bjorn said anything? If that's the case, why should Bjorn publically beg for him to stay if he doesn't want him and Askren doesn't want to be there?

I figured but it's funny how Dana will simultaneously call someone a scumbag while he knowingly lies about a situation. Regardless which side anyone is on, Bellator never MADE Eddie sit out as he always had the option to re-sign and fight for the title, as he's doing now. For Dana to say that is a flat out lie and he knows it, as he mentioned months ago that Eddie should probably just fight for Bellator.
