Mertvaya Ruka - So, this will go unanswered?

No media spoke to the Hendricks camp since then?

It's odd no one give a shit.

Once facts started coming to light I knew this was how it would play out. Kizer has been remarkably quiet as well.

Yep, Hendricks took ages to address this, and when he did, he avoided the fact that GSP's camp want to do both tests.

And I thought journalists liked stories like this, virtually nothing has been done with this after Hendricks rambled on the MMA Hour.

Overall mma journalists have massively dropped the ball in their covering of this story.

They have done a horrible job since the beginning covering this story. Gsp has said in the beginning he will do any test. Personally I am the same as most that think its a bit shady to ask some of the questions they asked on GSPs Behalf but at the end of the day if he takes the tests than that will be it.

I'm not a gsp fan and I think he is totally clean, and I've been around a bunch of juices heads my whole life and know a bit about it myself. Phone Post 3.0

Yep, actually, lemme try and tweet Helwani and see if he responds.

Kizer speaks for Hendricks now?

so Kizer confirmed he's a scumbag on Gross' podcast, he's pissed off both MMA and Boxing fans... and yet, no repercussions.

^^ He was only responding to me saying that Kizer has been silent. I was not aware he was on the podcast, haven't been to sherdog in awhile.

If GSP wanted to be a dick he could be talking about this in the media a lot more.

I haven't heard anything from his camp since releasing the email. Phone Post 3.0

Hendricks basically admitted he's on gear here, and I rarely ever make those accusations (mostly because I know most all of them are and don't care). Otherwise, why would it matter? Why would it be shady? Does he think they'll purposely give him a false positive and let GSP slide? That would be stupid, and the absolute only way his statement doesn't translate to "I'm not gonna risk being caught (or fighting clean) for GSP's sake".

It's just that simple. If he was clean, no reason to give a shit. GSP passes regardless as usual, and if you're clean...so do you and nothing has changed, except you have slightly more assurance about your opponent and don't make an even bigger suspect (and liar") out of yourself. You have NOTHING to lose.

Dude is all for it when first asked, then when he realizes its actually gonna happen goes "nevermind that's shady, he has a foot in the door!" ........Ie; "There's too much chance he'll pass and I won't"

What he's saying is he has no real confidence that he would pass the VADA test. Again, I doubt it's because he thinks they'll falsify his results....more likely because he knows they won't.

This may be the dumbest, most self incriminating statement on the matter of PEDS and testing I've heard from any fighter, or athlete in general. It's the next best thing to an outright confession. I'm sure someone has pointed it out to him by now which is why they've gone silent in the hopes it will go away and be forgotten.

Two things to take away from this......Hendricks is kind of a tard or has taken too many shots to the head and should leave the public statements to his management like Anderson used to.

Also, GSP is incredibly nice and MERCIFUL for not pointing this out and harping it into the ground like ANYONE else would do to him if he were dumb enough to put himself there. I'm not a GSP fan (especially after the Diaz fight) , but he deserves a lot of respect for that.

I'm pretty much in agreement here. The whole "it hurts us more if GSP tests positive" is a bizarre argument when he's already undergoing testing. Phone Post 3.0

^ Hendrick's management has been making those reprehensible statements, with Johnny's full backing.

It remind me of the BJ/GSP 2 situation with BJ's camp talking shit.

I even tweeted Helwani and Gross, no answer so far on this.

Jone2tone - Whined his way into a title shot. Night as well whine all the way through it. Phone Post 3.0

big whiner for sure.  he did however win a close fight vs. Condit, who gave GSP his toughest fight yet, so he does deserve his shot against the champ.  and GSP, for all his greatness, doesn't have the greatest chin, so Big Whiner is definitely dangerous in this fight.  as for when he'll stop whining ?  who knows...

Don't get me wrong - athletically, he's earned his shot. He's fought and won against some of the best in the division, and won several very decisively.

I just take issue with the fact that he's whined to the media about each and every fight because it wasn't a title fight. He seemed to walk into the UFC thinking he'd already earned his shot, and since he wasn't getting it, he complained...a LOT.

Thing is, he could be as good a matchup for GSP as Condit was. His wrestlings near GSPs level, all but negating that. His striking, in my opinion, may be better. Clearly he's shown good striking defence, so Georges won't have his trusty jab to fall back on.

But I know what's going to happen if he loses. Whining about the ref. accusations of GSP being on PEDs. Accusations of VADA being corrupt. Demands for a rematch. Really - can you see him losing this fight and NOT freaking out in the media afterward? Phone Post 3.0

^Hendricks has shown striking defense?  Maybe the defense of a heavy bag that he was turned into by the 3rd round vs Condit,  Thinking GSP will not be able to rely on his jab at all is cute but not reality.  Hendricks has a left hand and a right hook and KO power in both, but other than that there is nothing to admire about his striking.  GSP will likely make him look silly on the feet when those home run shots are hitting air.

The one-sidedness of this story is completely cut and dry.  At the risk of sounding like a GSP nutrider, I really don't think Hendricks' side has anything to stand on here.

And the media doesn't give a flying FUCK.  In fact, they're come down against GSP.  It's laughable.

I hope this isn't the fight where GSP gets caught, after all this shit I would hate to see Johny win. But all is well even if Johny wins, Condit is coming for him and it will be 5 rounds this time, nighty night Johny, we hardly knew ye.

Yeah, keep in mind Koscheck was basically dead even with Hendricks in a fight that was 99.99% on the feet, and was never rocked or in trouble at all.

Hendricks can KO GSP if he catches him, but there's no reason to think that's a likely outcome even if the fight never hits the ground at all.

Umm, no? You could argue Condit even won the fight since Hendricks did absolutely nothing with his takedowns.

Each and every takedown Johny got Condit got back to his feet very shortly thereafter.  Hendricks ground control was dismal.  GSP's ground control vs Condit was dominant.  While Hendricks may be close in terms of pure wrestling, in terms of overall grappling this is a no contest.  If Hendricks spends much time on his back vs GSP, he will be made to look stupid and will end up being finished by GSP.

I think Hendricks is a little more dangerous on the feet compared to Koscheck but I basically agree with you.

As long as GSP plays it smart at first he's gonna be ok and win this on ability and experience.

I don't think GSP has lost a step... Yet. Phone Post 3.0

Oh shit OK so if I take someone down and don't do anything with it, the other guy wins? Even if I had him rocked for 2 rounds. Carlos was stumbling left and right Phone Post
