Dang that's much worse than the ufc.

2000 bucks really? If the fighters used all their training time to collect pop bottles they would earn more Phone Post 3.0

Juan Quesada: $1,500

That sucks to be a pro fighter and make less money than to pay rent on a 1 bedroom apartment.

grammar expert - Kongo made $70,000 in his last fight with the UFC and Lavar made $29,000. Both were losing efforts by the respective fighters.

So did Kongo drop from a 70/70 contract to a 30/30, and Lavar from a 29/29 to a 15/15?

Yes Kongo's salary was cut in half but Lavar is on tournament conctract.

Actually I dont know whats up with Bellators tournament pay.  Lsat week you say guys getting 7/7, winners 14k, losers 7k except Pitbull got 10/10.

That was 8 man tournament first round.  You see shorter tournaments or the semis it goes up to 15/15 but obviously guys like Mo or Pitbull or Kongo get special contracts.

But what Idont get is the Leone/Silva pay.  That was a tournament final wasnt it?  Dont tournament winners get 100k?  If semis are getting 15/15 then why is the winner of the a BW tournament final only getting 22k?

Do they not pay as much for lower divs or summer series?

Looks like he declined a new UFC deal because they wanted him to take a major paycut. Plus much easier competition, chance to be a champion.

But yeah for a UFC gatekeeper who is boring they werent gonna give him a new deal making the same amount to fight prospects or journeymen HW on the prelims.

Same with Fitch.  Looks like for those guys they take around a 50 percent paycut once they leave the UFC.

With a 73k gate. I know they have other sources of income but that seems low for a company that has been around this long.

I'm actually just pumped the gate info is made public, I've always been curious about their numbers Phone Post

Juan Queseda was also a 2-1 LW going into this fight, which was part of the untelevised prelims.

Juan Quesada: $1,500

That sucks to be a pro fighter and make less money than to pay rent on a 1 bedroom apartment.
I fought for Bellator earlier this year, pay was $1000show/$1000win. And that's the highest pay I've ever had from a fight.

The fight prior to Bellator pay was $600/$600 and the fight after was $500/$500

This isn't the sport to get into for the money. Phone Post 3.0

Can i ask if your fight was recorded and broadcast on SPIKE? And how many fights were you contracted or obligated for with Bellator?

MMA Lives Here - You people have got to be fucking kidding me.

You think that's bad pay? Any idea how wide the gap is between the UFC and Bellator in terms of fighter pay:revenue? Clue - wider than Soa Paleleleleleleiiii Phone Post 3.0

Flawed logic.

the pay level isn't what irks me about that list, I just can't get how Pitbull get's less than guys nowhere near titles and who have far less fights in Bellator. Yes I get contracts and how Pitbull will probably cash in on the PPV but still 12,000 while no names are making 15,000 I just don't get that.

1500 would get you a 4 bedroom apartment here, you must live in a pretty expensive place where they charge 1500 for 1 bedroom Phone Post 3.0

If Bellator wants to be on the same level as the UFC, Which they scream from the roof tops every chance they get saying they are, than they should be held to the same standards as the UFC, an one of those standards is fighter pay, not saying they should be throwing out money. $1,500 on a televised card is pretty crazy, especially considering Zuffa gets shit on for the $6k/$6k scale they do for new fighters.

Id guarantee the last local show my son fought in had close to 2500? attendence. Those #'s are disappointing especially since they are putting on some great shows. Mma fans should be supporting both organizations. Bellator is fucking free great fights every week and most on here want them to fail for some reason. Phone Post

A little off-topic, but one thing Bellator has never done that Strikeforce and the WEC were wise to do was to create a regional base somewhere. Strikeforce did this with San Jose, and WEC arguably did this with Sacramento. No matter what, they could always count on a nice gate and a hot crowd there, even if they did most of their shows elsewhere. Both promotions did this in part because they had critically important stars from the area, but they both made sure to sign a bunch of other local guys too. This is a model Bellator really should have considered. They could have, say, built around the Philadelphia market, maybe centered around Eddie Alvarez before they pissed him off so much, and made sure to give opportunities to his teammates and other local guys, while running every 8th show in or near Philly.

It's just an example, it could be any number of places, but Bellator has never tried to do this. They've never tried to build around a particular area, and if they had, maybe they could have created at least one place where Bellator would have rabid fan support.
