I purchase my knock around stuff at men's Wearhouse.. Typical daily wear suits. Low quality, but they last a while, then get replaced.

For a step above, I go to Macy's or to other retailers. Suits are alright, a bit pricier, but still not great quality... These are alright for holiday suits, or a dinner suit type of thing.

For business meetings and such, I like to rock fancier suits. Brands like Armani are beautiful, but I believe they come off as a bit pretentious. What suits/stores do the OG bro's purchase their top shelf stuff at? Phone Post 3.0

Suit Supply.  You cannot beat the quality for the cost

Is it a website, or a storefront? Do they tailor it for you, or they sent the suit raw, and you get it tailored on your own? Phone Post 3.0

They have a couple brick and mortar spots around, but only in major cities.  I've only done online, and so I've gotten it tailored at a spot in town.  Costs like $20-$60 to get it tailored, depending on what you need done.

I've always liked suits. Love wearing them. I only made the money to afford them for a year. Since then can't justify a couple hundred dollar suits. Plus I live in blue collar country so I stick out in a suit.

200k a year to 30k a year is a big fuckin difference. Phone Post 3.0

I prefer the Metal Jack over the Ace, but Inzer tops them all.

Fabric quality is much more important than brand name.

He sucks royally. But this time it wasn't his fault - I belted the pants up too high when he measured. Phone Post

AMA. Anything OTR (off the rack) is obviously far inferior. I recommend Brooks Brothers for OTR. You may think it's farty but it isn't. You don't want to look like the trendy douchebag. Don't waste your time with shit brands. Save your money, get decent shit. Phone Post

I usually let the salesman con me into the brand. I dont buy alot so when i do, i try to buy the nice crap, and i ask the salesman exactly what for with a given budget. Its really because i hate shopping.

Last time was strellson. Nice suit. Somewhat pricey. Makes a difference to people when you wear it. Girls seems to dig it. Medium range quality brand.

I dislike suits though. Youre wearing something nice but effing pricey, and on top of it, you have to be paranoid in taking care of it.

Love the shirts though.

Brooks is classic style.

Suit Supply looks intriguing, but no separates=no deal for me.

12 inch drop makes them a no-go.

They play more fucking prices games than anyone else--JAB is constantly in the lists of companies with most corrupt pricing schemes.

Raise the prices on everything--then do 2-3 for 1, lower the prices, etc. Mark everything the fuck up beyond belief, they do 50 percent off "sales."

Tough to trust a place always doing corrupt shit.

CT Shirts.

Beautiful suits with modern cut for a great price. Working surgeons cuffs, half canvas, super 100s to 120s wool for between $500-$800 USD.

Go with one size up on waist if you are in US. If the suit doesn't work they have amazing full refund returns or they easily exchange for another size. Phone Post 3.0

The surgeons cuffs are why I won't buy them. OTR suits almost invariably need to have the sleeves shortened and it's much harder to do with working cuffs.

That's too bad. They fit my arm length perfectly. If you don't want working surgeon cuffs you can also look at TM Lewin. Also great English suits for a great price. Phone Post 3.0

Yea, I would agree with that.

Like I said though, time it right.

I've gotten solid, medium grade suits, for like $150, and it's a nicer suit than the Polyester crap grade suit similarly priced at a discount place.

Not sure how nice their higher end suits are, but their Travelers shirts are really nice. Like everything else at the store, you have to time the sale right... Phone Post 3.0
