Nexuscrawlers - I think the UFC is shooting themselves in the foot by not giving the old fights away for free.
They should just use banner ads and stuff to generate revenue rather than making their product less accessible.
But oh well, I guess they can maybe make more money off this, but it seems like something only existing fans would pay for. They aren't winning over any new fans with fightpass. Phone Post 3.0

More people are watching the facebook prelims now that it's behind a paywall than when it was free.

Thacommish - You seem to think this out has well has anyone else too. i know fight pass is your worth it, but is it my worth it? is it all of our worth its? Like you say the cards has not had stacks.
Well why is it not worth it for you ? Phone Post 3.0

because some people feel no need to watch fights again.

also do you even get the cards in CAnada?

I"m pretty sure they make you watch them on cable, like on sportsnet, or sports net 1.

I have no need to watch a fight 6x, and it's not worth them putting cards on that could easily be on TV instead, and then forcing you to pay for prelims which were previously free.

Taking away something and putting a price on it automatically makes it not worth it.

Oh here have this for free for 3 years, okay now it's 10 a month go fuck yourself.

I just think it could be so much more than it is. If they put the ppvs on there I would gladly pay 20 a month for the service with everything else. The way it currently sits it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

People bitch because Dana White is completely dishonest about the purpose of Fight Pass. It's clearly a tool used by a business to increase profit, but we have to hear justifications about how it's just an additional platform (like, "Fox wouldn't buy all our cards" or "the rest of the world is starving for fights"). The UFC is intentionally trying to draw people into purchasing Fight Pass rather than offering it as an option for convenience.

And they're using fighters to draw people in. How much extra are they paying Mark Hunt & Roy for promoting this product? Or Gustafsson? Headliners are making the same ridiculous amount of money while offering extreme incentive for fans to purchase the UFC's product. In the end, tons of people see it as yet another way for the UFC to get money from fans.

Yes I'm sick of them complaining about a product that is worth it and want to know if there ether Jews with here money or just have no jobs that he only 2 reason I can see someone not get fightpass so tell me a other reason why . Phone Post 3.0

"PPV for 10$ a month this is a steal since I don't have cable"

Why no have cable?
Cable is a waste of money when you can pay 10$ a month for all the fights but PPV Phone Post 3.0
This is the problem in heaps of countries including Australia. If you don't have cable you don't get to see any of those fights, they block them for us on fight pass because the cable company must have the rights. Either way, for some countries its pretty shitty for anything live, u just can't watch, still has the library though Phone Post 3.0

That's kinda where I am. I am a huge football (Vikings) fan but I would never go back to watch old Vikings games. Some people must like it as they have the NFL Network which always shows classic games but I have no desire. Nor do I have a desire to go back and watch a UFC card I've seen. There may be a few fights I'd like to see but not enough where FP is worth it.

The only way I'll ever consider getting fight pass is when the include ppv's. Raise the price to 25 bucks a month... Boom. Done.
I may buy it for a one off month,so I can watch metamoris. Phone Post 3.0

Whenever the UFC announces something, the trolls on here come out in force saying it's shit. After they get bored and move on to slagging off Danas latest misjudged quote, it turns out the majority like Fightpass.

RampageFitsLikeAGlove - I think the issue for most is that as the cards get worse and worse (more watered down), they are paying more and more. I don't really care but for example, I have Spike in my cable package so I used to get every fight possible that was not on PPV. So lets run the numbers now....

FS1 is not part of my cable package. If I want it, it's an extra $10/month, so $120/year.

I believe there are 14 PPV's scheduled this year. If I order all, it's another $770.

Now, if I want to see the FP cards, it's ANOTHER $10/month, or $120/year.

So, to watch roughly 40 UFC cards, I'd have to spend $1,010 this year. If I want to watch 268 NFL games in a season, I'd spend a maximum of $225 (Sunday Ticket, all games). And I could spend ZERO to get all the best featured games weekly, all playoffs games, and Super Bowl.

UFC: 40 cards = $1,000+

NFL: 268 games = $225.

So no, it's not the $10/month. Again, it's that the cards are getting shittier as the prices go up. I think it's just the straw that broke the camels back for many. I was starting to lose interest before and now I don't really care other than major fights. MMA is kind of like boxing for me now.

Then sir you have a PoS cable provider, ATT uverse sports package gives me ALL major sports channels (fs1,NBC Sports, NFL,NBA network CBSSports nextwork ESPN + etc).

Is that really all you took from that message? That my cable provider/fS1 is the problem and why people are/were against Fight Pass?

When I signed up, it was severely lacking in content, the app/site was a mess and there was no home media player option for Xbox 360/PS3. I've heard they've added a lot of new content so once there's a console app, I'll check it out again. Phone Post 3.0

Yeah I understand the whole you have to buy all 3 fox channel deal that would piss me off too if I was in America and I could get that for 10$ a month but all I'm saying for anyone other then American 10$ a month plus the PPV that you might want to pay for is a fucking steal and American should be able to have that deal also but then the FOX ratings would go down Phone Post 3.0

It the only sport I watch yeah other then playoff hockey and even that you can watch on the broadcaster website for free now so cable is worthless when I can watch every show online for free without adds plus if I only pay 10$ a month for fights and support a sport I love so be it Phone Post 3.0

Because those people want Dana White to come in here and invite them onto his jet so he can convince them otherwise.

They are living in a dream world. No one gives a fuck whether or not they approve of it and no one cares to try to convince them otherwise.

These people are just self-important douche bags that think the world revolves around them.

Perfectly said. They are just nickel and diming North American fans too much. People are fed up and aren't going to keep paying this much. The ppv buys are proof of it. Time to make a deal to put PPV on hbo, raise the fight pass price and put ppv's on there, or sell the rights to FOX.

UFC might be growing other places but interest in the US is dying fast! I used to host every ppv. It went from 25 people coming and being excited; to 5 or 6 people to split the cost; to not a single person interested in coming to even watch the last 2 ppv's. Phone Post 3.0
Yeah and one thing is are these countrys that your having new events on fight pass buying any PPV ? Because right now there killing the USA PPV market because they don't want to pay for all this shit and if I was a betting man I would say USA is your major PPV buyer . Phone Post 3.0

I also understand the argument that you don't want to rewatch a card you just watch again because I myself don't rewatch events I just watch . But just the fact that I can pause a event while it live and go piss or maybe sleep and wake up and watch the NZ card my time and not have to wake up at 2 am is kinda worth it also . And like I said before unless you have seen every event well I guess that would not be worth it for you have but most people have not Phone Post 3.0
