I wouldn't cut more than 5 in a day if I was fighting the same day.

Are you weighing in the same day of comp? THen the answer is no because you can't gain it back in time for the fight. You ONLY want to cut what you can put back on by fight time Tapboy- You have no air to breathe there

I am about to do this on Friday and you just have to time it right by the pound you take off each cut. if the weigh ins aren't till the afternoon don't take it all off early. Do some and then the rest right before. i usually do one the night before and 2 day of.

This thread is grand. I did a test cut a few weeks back and went from 160 to 145, and was back at 160 the next day. Did some hard sparring and felt fine. Good stuff. C

It is worth it if you are cutting 10lbs or more for sure. I would get it and keep it just to have in incase. One tub last about 10 times I would say.

CTSar, get it from Ebay if the seller will deliver to Brazil... usually cheaper, just work out the shipping and all first. Either way, if you make weight with it, it's worth it. C

Chris, If I want to cut 5 lbs for same-day weigh-ins, should I still drink a gallon of water per day for a week before the competition? Should I still do plastics and Albolene or should I cut differently? I am assuming the diet and cardio advice stays the same regardless of whether the weigh in is 24 or 6 hours before the fight, right? Thanks! -CF

Yes still drink as much water as possible and I don't recomend cutting any more then 5 pounds

Hi Chris, thank you for the advice. I have 4 pounds to lose in 2 weeks (probably very easy). I have been doing 20 minutes of cardio in the morning and in the evenings as well as cutting back on carbs and fat. My only question is that weight-in is right before my fight. Anything I should do differently? thx!
