How many MHC's are there? Do scientists agree on their grouping? Are they related to race, or how are they distributed among the races?

As far as I remember, there are 2 major classes (I & II), each with 3 subclasses (A,B,C for type I; DP, DQ & DR for type II). THat's pretty much the consensus for groupings. There are also the effects of minor HC's. As far as racial distribution, dunno- try google.
