Are different Karate styles really that different or is it in the way they are trained? I know the forms from Okinawan styles are all pretty much similar but Goju tends to have a more sweeping and stomping style of fighting where shorin-ryu seems to fight more upright to me. Also, what are the differences between Tang Soo Do, which is considered Karate, and the Okinawan and Japanese systems (in the way they are applied in sparring?)

Tang Soo Do, which is considered Karate

I think TSD can be considered most like TKD, nearly identical. Although, many would argue that TKD is karate...
