If it is on the internet, it must be true:) .... The tomato and the chile are the most common used ingredients in salsas. The tomato is the fruit of the tomato plant, a member of the nightshade family, which includes Tomatillo, Eggplant, and Chayote. The nightshade family also includes many species that produce poisonous alkaloids including tobacco (produces nicotine), deadly nightshade (produces atropine), and mandrake (produces hyoscymine, used for motion sickness and as a preoperative anesthetic). It is thought that the tomato originated in South America (probably Peru). It was domesticated by the Incas was introduced to Mexico where it was given the indian name, xicotomatl, now known in Mexico as jitomate. Spanish explorers introduced the tomato to Europe, but most Europeans were relucant to eat the tomato -- Since the tomato is a member of the nightshade family, it was commonly thought to be poisonous. On the contrary, today the tomato is known as the primary source of Lycopene, an antioxidant carotenoid in the same family as beta carotene, which gives the tomato its red color. Lycopene may help protect against diseases such as cancer and heart disease. A tomato has high levels of vitamin C, folate, lycopene, and is low in calories with an average tomato having about 30 calories. ---- Personally, I have found that mixing tomato juice with vodka and tobasco sauce guarantees that they are safe:) Mike

Matt: Not a problem, I had a great time and thanks for being patient with a meathead like me. Was a real pleasure to attend, learn and roll with you at the seminar. 1950: Dang? 165 pounds? You're diesel for that weight!

"1950: Dang? 165 pounds? You're diesel for that weight!" LOL, thanks but stop the flattery you'll make modest me blush!! Guys like Ivan Menjivar and his 24 inch Quads or Matt Serra are jacked for that weight. Me I just try to lift twice weekly and train kickboxing, wrestling and grappling every other day Im not in the gym. My goal is to fight at 155pds this summer. It helps that all the guys i train with at Gladiator are all bigger and like Matt said are"attribute based" fighters and grapplers. Kai if you could email me at gcompton@cogeco I would appreciate it, had some questions on the 1st day of the seminar I missed. Specifically how to "kill the arm" you plan to attack from side mount. ttyl, Greg Compton

1950: Eh, I didn't mean to make it sound that way... It's more than people who work out real damn hard, it's hard to place their weight. And honestly, your workout is a lot better than 90% of us out there. But I'll get that email out to you momentarily.

#5 is the three basic escapes: 1- Pull Guard. 2- Get to your hands and knees (hip heist-quarter position). 3- Reverse the position by rolling them. Mike www.SBGi.ca
