Jesus douche bag?? Fuck if its the guy im thinking of he seems like a cool guy. WTF is all the hate about. True Tai Chi IS a combative art. Just because the energetic piece is what most of us see dosent mean there is not a lot more. NOBODY does just "one" style in mma. Or they lose a lot. Everybody adapts, but everybody falls back on what they know best ie. wrestling, boxing, grappling etc...

Alright, even though this was a joke thread by TPK, I think the point isnt that tai chi's techniques are what gets used in a fight or in MMA, but the principals of tai chi. Here is a link that talks about these principles. It of course uses some of the "flowery" lauguage that is prevelant in most CMA. but if you read it alot of it makes sense, and you can apply it to what you know works in combat.

Shooter's alright BIC his students do okay in grappling rounies too, one I understand had a go with one of Randy Couture's (sp?) guys. FYI, BC has some very tough sifu's, pre-commy TCMA culture was well - preserved. "Shooter = Archery, and The Cincinatti Kid " You mean bow-and-arrow stance?

no, poobear. I dig archery and I'm not half bad at it either. :) The Cincinatti Kid is one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. Karl Malden played, Shooter, a dealer and odds-maker. I thought his nickname was cool. :D
