Jon, You forgot about the upper crust, scarf wearing, color cooridinated fly fisherman. I mostly live or cut bait. When trout fishing Ill lure fish to cover more area faster till I find a school then Ill put on a livie and put it in a rod holder and continue with the lure. I believe in the success that I've had in with live and cut bait but that should be no surprise considering I'm sponsored by a castnet company.

I'd rather catch them on lures, but like Lefty Kreh once told me," Ah'll put a crab or a minnie on the hook, if that's what it takes." *note* The above quote elicited gasps of horror from the flyfishing snobs who'd been following Kreh around like lovesick puppies.:)

for me it is almost always lures (exept when it gets cold enough where we have to "truck fish") I use many lures, but I would have to say my absolute favorite is a 6" pumpkin seed/chartruse lizard. I have very rarely ever struck out because of this particular lure. Of course I am talking pond fishing, as this is where I spend most of my time.

depends on what kind of fish. In salt water I use live bait or cut bait alot and for musky fishing I only use lures

Almost always bait. Usually just worms or salmon eggs. Gonna have to venture into the lure and fly world though. None of our best waters allow bait fishing.

I just very recently started using artis for redfish. I think it might be easier than using live bait or cut bait, actually
